We loved staying here while we visited Provincetown for the first time! Short walk from the Ferry drop off and in the middle of all the shopping, restaurants, and bars! Loved the Happy Hour bar service and their drinks! I've recommended it to all my friends to stay while in Provincetown. Stewart, David, and Andrew were great hosts!

Best retro digs in town. Its like walking into a living gay history, were would've all hung out, at the bad sailor Inn at the end of the jetty. Great to see a gay legacy being nurtured like this by current owners into the 21st Century. Bravo to the new owners.

Crew's Quarters excels at what it aims to provide: Perfect for the low-maintenance traveler with an appreciation for history, community, connection, and sultry 20th-century style. Love and thought are poured into every detail. The hosts are gracious, kind, and excellent conversationalists who make a hell of a cocktail.

It's not a five-star hotel, nor does it claim to be one, and is probably not suitable for the traveler who expects the anticipatory service of the Ritz. As a historic building that remains true to its heritage, the rooms are small and the stairways narrow. The bathrooms are shared, and there is no air conditioning.

But if you're willing to trade modern conveniences for an enchanting step back in time, into the pages of the gay pulp of the Kinsey era, you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I were recently here for a three-night stay and had a lovely experience. The place has recently been refurbished but maintains an eclectic/rustic vibe that was totally charming.

The most important thing I can say is that “Crews Quarters” is the most apt name! The rooms are tiny, the stairs are narrow and steep, the floor is slightly slanted, everything is paneled in dark, heavy wood. You really feel like you’re below decks on some old 18th century galleon. For us this was perfect, but maybe not for everyone.

The staff is helpful and friendly, and kept the shared bathroom (one per floor) immaculate. There’s a comfortable common room with fireplace, bar and air conditioning, and a great outdoor space in front for people-watching.

The location is perfect, on Commercial Street, convenient to everything P-Town has to offer, and where you can watch the parade of interesting folks pass by day and night.

You know what you're getting: they are very clear upfront that the rooms have no A/C and have shared bathrooms.

But wow, what an experience. The decor is stunning, it oozes seedy luxury like a fine leather strap. It's summed up perfectly at the front desk-slash-bar, where drinks with sleazy names are ordered from a menu printed on vintage gay paperback novels, and poured from baroque crystal decanters. The narrow hallways are paneled with dark wood from more than a century ago, and evoke the intimate confines of a Gilded Age sailing ship. The shared spaces only add to this intensely atmospheric environment.

Wowee, y'all.

David and the staff could not have provided a better stay. I have stayed here many times throughout the past 20+ years and its most recent renovations are superb, just what you might expect from a century ago rooming house. Yes the rooms are small but immaculate; and the communal bathrooms are spotless. There is no AC but my room had a full size ceiling fan which provided comfort from the heat. The 7PM after "tea" bar social was attended by nearly everyone and all guests were friendly. David and the staff actually care about the guests; I saw David go out of his way on two occasions to help an older couple navigate some minor issues; he did this with ease and empathy. BRAVO! It's honestly the little things that matter.

Charming place with character that gave the impression of a late 19th century Provincetown inhabited and visited by mariners, both ancient and young. The walk to the entrance was laid out with candles in etched glasses to give the place its initial charm. When inside at the front desk / bar, I felt like I was in the captain's quarters where guests would be intimately entertained in the parlor. Despite the size of the room, which I shared with my husband, we managed and spent most of our time out and about as opposed to in the guest house. Many other guests were very friendly and social. We definitely struck up fun conversations with people from both near and far. The 7 pm happy hour was fun and we brought friends to join us. Staff were great and added to the gaiety. we definitely coming back 🙂

The staff is friendly, welcoming, and very hardworking. The decor includes both vintage and current artwork by local artists, and it’s fantastic. The beds are comfy. The property is spotlessly clean. I stayed based on positive comments from genuine Ptown locals about the recent renovations, and I was not disappointed. 10/10, will visit again!
