My fiance and I stayed at the firehouse cabin this weekend to celebrate our anniversary and it was absolutely amazing! The cabin was so cozy, the view was beautiful and it was so nice to just be able to relax and have a good time. We made smores at nights and had drinks by the porch. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you creekside cabins!

Just a 50-minute drive to immerse in nature—such a wonderful experience! They’ve recently opened a tipi here, and it’s cozy with an incredibly peaceful atmosphere at night. The grill is also super convenient for cooking, making the stay even better.

We stayed at the Studio cabin for 4 nights over Thanksgiving weekend 2024 and we were not disappointed! Two adults, an 8 yo and a small dog. Check-in was pretty simple, and since the owners live on site and tends to different area of the property and campsite, they ask to give them a call 10 minutes prior to arrival so they can be present at the office. The entrance gate is usually open during the day but if it is closed, it can be opened from the outside with the key code that was emailed prior to arrival. The owners, Dennis and Diane are just down to earth and awesome folks. Personable touch made our pleasant stay just that much better!

The campsite is quiet and peaceful and the Studio cabin offers the closest access to the little creek below the hill. The grass along the small hill is well maintained and manicured, as if someone mows it. Internet access is only available near the Studio cabin and Grandview house. At the time of our stay, the creek water level was a lower than usual, so I did not get a chance do do my creek side fishing. However, there are tons of little frogs on the shoreline, which is fun if you have little boys or girls who are into catching critters. I mean, who isn't? I am not sure if all of the cabins are pet friendly, but the Studio is. A small pet fee is required and we brought our little Frenchie with us during our stay.

As I was wandering around the campground one morning with a cup of joe in one hand, I noticed a pavilion area and had a short conversation with Dennis. Turns out that it can be rented for weddings or social events, with the option to rent tables and chairs. The price is really reasonable and I spoke to my wife about it. I think we'll do our wedding vow renewal here in a year or two and serve bottles of Flatcreek Super Texans to our friends!

About the room itself. It is pretty spacious with a comfortable queen bed, a comfortable futon and an elevated twin bed with a small reading nook beneath it. There is a washer and dryer near the entrance, which is a nice touch for those that plan to stay in this cabin a little longer. Start your day with a cup of joe at the bistro table just outside the front door, or down by the creek. Then light up some firewood ($5 a bundle at the office) in the fire pit steps away from the Studio cabin deck before calling it a night! The parking is in the front by the office, so you'll need to walk quite a bit. There are two wagons by the office that you can use to transport your belongings to and from your car.

The Studio has a well equipped kitchen, all the basic and standard cookware and utensils. The cutting board has seen better days and can use a replacement. There are NO paper towels in the room due to the environmentally friendly/green nature of the property, just re-washable cloth wash towels. It's a little cumbersome when you're doing a lot of cooking and eating in the cabin during your stay. That's one of the only downside, in my opinion, so the next time we stay here, we'll bring our own paper towel rolls. The other downside is the smoker/grill. It's a rusty Brinkmann with a busted thermometer. I couldn't tell if it was a stick burner that's missing components or just a barrel smoker. Either way, if you are an experienced pit master, you can work with any smoker or grill tossed your way, and I used it to grill Korean BBQ flanken beef ribs, smoked a rack of baby back ribs for dinner one night and smoked a turkey breast for Thanksgiving. Be sure to bring your own bag of charcoals if you plan to do some grilling or smoking. A Weber Smokey Joe kettle ought to replace the dated Brinkmann; it is cheap, standard kettle, easy to operate and easier to clean. Besides, who doesn't know how to operate a kettle grill?

We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights here and we look forward to return again in 2025. Creekside Camp & Cabins is an absolute gem and we look forward to renting the pavilion for our wedding vow renewal in the future!

Please Read! Its a long but good one!
2 weeks ago I surprised my husband for his birthday. We rented the tipi. Amazing does not describe what we experienced for our night stay. Check in was super easy. We headed to the tipi and again was amazed. It was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. I told my husband when we left that I needed the name of that mattress! There was a cooking area outside and we made dinner on the grill and ate at the cute table that was out there. We went down to the water front and used one of the free canoes. It was so incredibly peaceful and relaxing. We chose to turn our phones off! Headed back to the tipi then started a fire. It has cute little lights that light up the area. There is a camper rental beside it but wr felt extremely secured and private. There is a privacy fence in between. It was a 1 minute walk if that to the bathroom areas. The showers are beautiful and we'll kept. The beautiful tipi glow made for a romantic evening getaway. Everything you need is there. The tipi has a ac and a heater for the winter. The room was very cool as it was 90 outside during the day. Overall, we can't wait to return! We are already thinking of the dates! They also have cabins and we are looking into those as well with the family. We already have 3 people that know our secret away from home and will be booking soon! There is no way to describe our experience except amazing and it's going ro be hard to top!

Every person we talked with was really friend and was always asking if we needed anything. Our dogs were able to enjoy the water and play in the grass. The studio we stayed in was perfect for us, had everything you would need, just bring the food!! Never turned the TV on, just enjoyed the peacefulness. If we every come back to Texas (from Ohio) we are going to comeback!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us.

What a hidden gem! We stayed in The Studio on the water, which was more spacious then the pictures showed. Very friendly and prompt staff. We definitely will be planning another trip in the near future.

We rented the Cedar House for 8 people and enjoyed every minute of it. The cabin was clean with linen and dishes available for use.
The location itself is next to a beautiful private river area. The owners were friendly and great hosts. Fresh eggs and fire wood are available to purchase onsite.

I booked this place to stay with my mom and brother to celebrate our heritage and my moms birthday. We stayed in the firehouse cabin and absolutely enjoyed our stay! From booking I was able to contact the property manager/owner easily and she answered all of my questions within hours and usually minutes. She was very kind and helpful - she even put birthday balloons for my mom in the cabin which was so sweet and my mom loved it! The cabin was the perfect space for the three of us and our three dogs and it was very reasonably priced! It was exactly what we needed to get away and enjoy nature and each others company. Our dogs had a blast too! It’s also in a great spot because going into town was so fun and we met some really kind people and swam at the lake. We set up a paint session on the patio and it was so calming. The property is so adorable - it’s quaint and the cabins are all special and cute in their own way. I’ll absolutely be back. I’m planning every few months I’ll book a cabin to just get away for the hustle and bustle of my business in Lakeway. It’s bliss next to a beautiful town - kudos to the owners!!! Thank you so much!!
