One of Our Favorite Courtyard Properties!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Courtyard Redwood City. We hadn't been here for a few years. From the moment we arrived and checked in, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality. Linda at the front desk in the morning was especially warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Kacey, with a wonderful positive personality at the restaurant went above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience—breakfast was absolutely delicious, and I appreciated being able to take it upstairs after I dined first downstairs to my husband in our spacious and impeccably clean room (Room 419).

The hotel itself is modern, well-appointed, and thoughtfully maintained. We also had the pleasure of meeting Jacqueline, the well-informed Area Director of Sales, who would be an excellent resource if you're considering hosting a meeting, event or intimate wedding (under 200 guests).

The location is ideal—just south of San Francisco and right near Highway 92, making it easy to head to the coast or over to the East Bay.

Highly recommended for both leisure and business stays. We'll definitely be back!

Good hotel. Spacious lobby and bar/restaurant/breakfast area. Well appointed rooms. Really appreciate the convenience of on-site EV charging.

Minor negatives: there are no businesses locally (other than car dealerships), so you need to take a 20-minute walk to downtown or drive for a bite to eat and/or entertainment. Also, in our room, the windows could not be opened and did not seal well, so there was a small but constant breeze of cool air from them (December).

My husband & I made a very quick trip to Stanford Health and stayed at this Courtyard Marriott in Redwood City. We were tired and hungry so we went to the Bistro restaurant lounge for a quick dinner. Louie was the host, bartender & server. He did a great job and was friendly, fun while taking care of everyone at the same time! It was nice to have great service at the end of a very long & stressful day. Thank you Louie!

I had an incredible experience at the Marriott Bonvoy in Redwood City all thanks to Sunny at bar! From the moment I sat at the bar, his professionalism and warmth and attention to detail stood out. He crafted amazing cocktails, and was able to make great recommendations for food. Give this guy a promotion!

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the check-in experience. We had booked our room through Expedia, and upon our arrival at 1:00 PM, we were informed by a female front desk staff member that check-in was not until 3:00 PM. While we understood this, we were assured by the front desk agent that we would receive a call once our room was ready.

However, by 3:30 PM, we had not received any communication from the hotel, so we called the front desk ourselves. The same female agent answered and informed us that our room was still not ready, and only one of the beds had been cleaned, despite our reservation being for a double queen room. When we inquired about the possibility of receiving a single bed room that was ready at that time, we were told this was not an option, as we had not paid for it. While we understood the policy, this added to our frustration.

At 5:30 PM, after hours of waiting without any update, we decided to visit the front desk in person. When we asked if our room was ready, the front desk staff confirmed it was. We explained that we had been waiting for a call from the initial agent, but no communication was ever made. This lack of follow-up was concerning and unprofessional.

That said, I would like to commend Lorenzo, a front desk agent who assisted us when we finally checked in. He was exceptionally professional, empathetic, and understanding of the situation, which was clearly not of his making. His compassion and willingness to resolve the issue helped turn a frustrating experience into a more positive one. His customer service truly made a difference.

However, the overall lack of communication, the delay in preparing our room, and the failure to follow through on the promise to contact us made the initial part of our stay highly disappointing.

This was the worst experience, I got an email saying they were going to cancel my reservation, I because they were trying to charge my card before I checked in and it did not go through BUT it’s a company card booked through our travel concur, my flight, and car rental was fine so Flor ran it wrong then just cancelled my hotel the day of. I got this email when I was in the air. I messaged them, the general manager Serina and the Marriott customer care and they did not respond.

This is my preferred hotel for trips to Stanford Hospital. There's plenty of parking, the rooms are nice and clean, and the fitness center has a functional trainer machine.

Positive: The room was spacious and clean and the location was convenient for our needs. Negative: The restaurant was substandard. Breakfast items were all prepackaged and microwaved. In the bar in the evening they were out of many drink choices and the flatbread we ordered was not as described and likely frozen.
