Court Square in Montgomery is definitely must see if you are in the area it’s enriched with history and culture - not to mention just breathtaking and well-maintained. The detail of the fountain and history left me in awe. In the pictures, you will notice that there’s a girl pointing west toward the river, this is because she’s indicating the location and route the slaves came in by boat. Court Square was the largest slave trade in the south and possibly the United States of America.

The Court Square Fountain - Artesian Basin is a beautiful piece of sculpture and a very nice water feature on Dexter Avenue. Reputedly, Zelda Sayre used to swim in this fountain while in high school. She and childhood friend Tallulah Bankhead were also known for riding the street cars and pretending to be the conductor. This is a lovely fountain in an historic area of the City.

If you are in the area more than likely you'll make this circle if not just go slightly out of your way the fountain is beautiful has amazing detail the we are the people wall is kind of amazing and the message is touching the old buildings that are still there are enchanting and not to mention it doesn't take a lot of time you don't even have to get out of the car you could just drive through it honestly if you want to see the detail I have a dime pay for the parking meter but you really really need any more of that unless you plan on going shopping

This is a beautiful historic fountain at a traffic circle ⭕️ in downtown Montgomery. From this fountain, you can see the capital building, the Rosa Parks bus bench, and many other historical sites. This is a great spot for photos.

A lot of history in the place. Beautiful but tragic. Definitely worth checking out the civil Rights walk in the slave markets.
