I moved here at the end of December after 30 years in a large house. Initially, I was worried about living in an apartment, but I honestly feel like I live in a resort. My relationship with Leah, makes me feel part of a family; she always greets me with a smile and listens to my needs. The community offers everything I need; the grills by the pool, where I love to make dinner by the fountains and relax with friends or alone. I also appreciate the various WiFi-enabled work areas and relaxing spots to go work when I just need a change of environment. The dog-friendly complex features a professional grooming area and a lit dog run, plus a nearby park for walks and play. The friendly atmosphere fosters a strong sense of community, making this a wonderful place to live. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a beautiful home with great amenities, close to shops and restaurants. Lastly, I feel very safe here. It is quiet and everyone just minds their own business yet when we see each other in the hallways, everyone always says hello. People seem to genuinely like living here - I can see myself staying here for a long time and never wanting the hassles or responsibilities associated with living in a house again! Linda

We had a tour yesterday at Cortland Allen Station and Lady had a bright, positive, and inviting spirit. She was such a light and made us feel comfortable immediately. Lady has amazing customer service, and we had a great time touring with her.

I’d give less than 1 star if I could.

I’ve lived here since 2023, but my boyfriend has lived here since 2021. We had a good experience until we moved to a new unit here in April. The day we moved in we noticed water damage in the sheet rock above the windows in the living room and 2nd bedroom.
2 days later it rained, and water started coming in from the drywall above both windows. This has been happening every time it rains since April. 7 months now. The complex has hired contractors to come out and seal the windows 7 times now, and the issue hasn’t even improved at all.
We’ve been incredibly patient and trusting that repairs will be completed only to be forced to wait for it to rain to find out it’s still doing this. We have to move furniture away from windows and live with beds and desks blocking doorways and normal walking paths to prevent our stuff from being damaged.
Since it’s been 7 months of living like this we are over it and we requested to be moved to a unit that was available on the same floor with the exact same floor plan. They told us that they will not honor our lease and that we would have to sign a brand new 15 month lease at a higher rate than we pay now, or the other option is to break the lease and have to pay $4k.

Cortland’s manager and office staff made it so clear to us that they are aware of the issue and do not care that we’ve had to pay over $2k a month for an apartment that can’t even keep us safe and dry.

They have a legal obligation to maintain their building, but they don’t do that.

Update: Now that everything is resolved I wanted to update this review. After some back and forth with the office on our case, they did agree to transfer us to another unit and honor our lease rate and term.
This is all that we wanted and while it should’ve been offered to us earlier on, we are very happy with the solution we came to with management and staff here.
The new unit we are in now was so spotless when we moved in. Huge props to the cleaning team and maintenance for making sure everything was ready for us so fast.

We’re happy to be able to continue living here at Cortland.

My husband and I have lived here since August 2024. In the past 7 months, we have experienced nothing but positive things from Cortland Allen Station and the staff! The front office staff always have a positive attitude, and they are EXCITED to help you resolve any questions or concerns. We’ve hosted an event in the clubhouse, and everything went smoothly. The cleaning staff do an amazing job at keeping the building looking and smelling great! We’ve put in two “service” orders including an Ethernet connection and lightbulb replacement. Both of these were resolved same-day. We have not experienced ANY bugs (not even an ant) since we’ve been here. We live on the third floor next to the trash chute for reference. All of my neighbors are super friendly, too! This community is a great place to live if you prioritize convenience, safety, and comfortability. After living in three other apartments, my husband and I have finally lucked out with Allen Cortland Station!

Leah is extremely exceptional. Although I was unable to move in due to family issues, Leah took the time to answer all of my questions, and help me find a rental house in the area. The property is very nice and well maintained. I highly recommend this community and Leah to all my friends and family!
