Great loop trail, some really interesting historic foundations towards the backside, also a fair amount of poison ivy, step carefully and you'll be fine. Once autumn gets going this is an awesome weekend go to, I highly recommend.

Cormier Woods is a great spot to hike at. There are trails on both the north and south side of Chapin Road. I've only hiked along the southern trails which form a couple of loops to take. There's an old homestead foundation to discover and a number of cool rock outcrops plus one of the trails goes near a brook and a swampy area too. In the future I plan on returning to check out the northern set of trails.

Cormier Woods is a nice, quiet, and secluded place to hike trails and has a variety of uphill, downhill, and flat surfaces. Most of the times I have been here I have been the only one. The property is not always super maintained all year round and you may see fallen trees and logs on trails but in my opinion that only adds to the adventure! A lot of the trails are very thin for only one lane but with how few people come there it has never been an issue for me. However if you are coming with a friend you may not be able to always walk and talk to them right next to you. I especially love that well behaved dogs who stay within distance can be off leash! My dogs love it here.

Fairly easy trail walk through quiet, forested environment. Do keep an eye out for the blazes. There are a lot of small, unmarked side trails. The trail does have a few steeper parts. They're not too bad but some people may enjoy the help of a walking stick or poles.

This was such a great hike and I cannot wait to come back and explore more. June was a particularly magical time to be there as everything was super Lush and leafy. Some very impressive stone walls as well. I believe there are some cool old structures along other Trails I didn't take so I'm looking forward to coming back and checking out more of the property. Another very special place protected and stewarded by the Trustees.
