This company also operates under the name Philippines etd. They have a website that looks alot like the official government website of the Philippines. They also say if you want a refund to request it within 3 days and they will only charge a 10 dollars processing fee. I requested within 30 minutes after I investigated this company. It's all over Reddit of this company ripping them off. I requested my 60 dollars back, and they asked why 48 hours later in an email. I told them that I didn't need their services and I had made a mistake. They sent me an email the next day saying that they had already performed the service and the transaction was complete. I never received anything, but that email. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM I wish I could give 0 star

Scam and fraud. Don't trust anyone from here. They mask their identity to look like they represent conference organizers. I didn't really think about it until i got a call from someone here demanding payment in full for a reservation (which turned out to be fake). I called them back to refund my deposit and the person on the phone was shady and lying to me about everything. I hung up and I'm contacting American Express to dispute the charge as fraud.

Yep, they are scammers. Pretend to be affiliated with the hotel and conference offering a discounted rate. Paid in full for a room only to arrive without a room. Disputing the charges now but they are fighting for their stolen money.

Echoing the other sentiments. Do yourself a favor and just book the hotel rooms yourself. They took our credit card number for a deposit and for final booking, but ended up canceling our booking a week before our conference because they didn’t get an email response within their arbitrary timelines. Also, after looking into it, their phone number appears as spam, so I missed all their calls and didn’t bother with their voicemails. They position themselves as a benefit to event planners to take making hotel room blocks off their plates, but end up creating unnecessary problems during crunch time. After requesting they reinstate the rooms, they said the rooms were no longer available; however, we were able to rebook at the hotel directly for a cheaper rate. I’m kind of happy this happened though, I suspect the reservations weren’t even made in the first place and that’s why they were “unavailable.” Such a joke.

This is my first time using Conventioneers' booking service. The whole process of booking, checking into the hotel, requesting name changed on the receipt and corresponding with the team were very smooth and swift. Thank you for your assistance and hope to use your service next time.

Was sent what seemed like a good rate as soon as we booked an trade show booth. Needed a name changed on the reservation a month in advance of our stay, was told it was not possible. After speaking with the hotel they said changes and cancellations could be made up to 48 hours before the start of the reservation. Found out that this company was not even the 3rd party that booked, and only the 3rd party that booked could make the changes through the hotel. Spent HOURS on the phone with the hotel and 3rd party that actually booked the room. They were not willing to help until I threatened to cancel and dispute the charges ahead of my stay. Would never use them again, next time will book directly with the hotel!

Beware of Conventioneers. They are 3rd party booking agents and pretend to be part of the conference organizers (ACTFL in our case), even though they have nothing to do with the event. They exploit Expedia for bookings, offering seemingly low rates that, in reality, are inflated with their own hidden markups - a stark contrast to the direct and honest rates negotiated with the hotels themselves. They impose a stringent 30-day cancellation policy, a far cry from the flexible 2-day window provided by the hotel or the organizers. This means your booking is locked in and inaccessible to the hotel until it's too late to cancel without penalty. While these agents might handle your booking, be acutely aware of the significant risks and disadvantages inherent in dealing with any such third-party agents. Proceed with extreme caution and prioritize direct bookings to avoid
these pitfalls.

Scam Fake reservations company claims to be associated with conventions and meetings but is not. Beware booking through this site. See other reviews for accounts of money collected and no reservation.
