THE BEST EVER!!! When planning our wedding, from the very beginning we had a strong vision of a cocktail style reception with a focus on showing our guests an amazing time and ditching as many of the typical wedding day timeline & traditions as we could get away with - but no clue on how to pull it off. I hired the majority of my vendors but then hit a point of “what do I do now” which led to me seek out a planner.

From my first call with Joe I just knew he was the planner to work with. Not only did he completely understand my vision he had so many suggestions on how to keep the night flowing smoothly as well as design and entertainment elements to enhance what we had already thought of. Not only did he have great ideas but he could speak from experience having planned multiple events with a similar format. Joe’s professionalism, organization and sense of ease kept me calm and confident throughout a year of planning and I always knew I could count on reaching him when needed and getting his guidance and advice through every decision big and small along the way - whether it was negotiating contracts, pricing out the menu, or guiding us on the best possible way to execute every last thought and idea.

As confident as I was throughout the planning process, nothing could have prepared me for the absolute magic that Joe and his team pulled off on wedding day. To say I was blown away would be an understatement!

With all of the planning logistics I definitely hit decision fatigue by the time it came to design details, and decided to just fully trust my amazing team of vendors to do their thing, with Joe leading it all behind the scenes - my best planning decision after hiring Contagious! The room reveal on the night of our wedding reception was the highlight of the day and brought our entire family to tears! Since our wedding format was a bit atypical, we definitely had some skeptical guests not knowing exactly what to expect - “what do you mean no assigned seating!!?”. Safe to say with Joe leading the show everything went smoothly, our guests had an amazing time, our families were blown away and we had the time of our lives without having to worry about a single thing other than living in the moment and toasting at midnight! Thank you Joe, Gail and the rest of the contagious team! Hire them to plan your wedding or any event for that matter, you will not regret it!

There are not enough words to thank Joe, Gail, and the entire Contagious team for everything they did to make my party amazing! I graduated from residency and threw a big party at The State Room in Boston - finding Joe and his team was a lifesaver! The Contagious team is creative, hardworking, and just downright fun!! Joe has such a gift for seeing an event space, hearing about a vision, and multiplying it by a million to make is truly special and unique. I am still not over the disco ball wall seating chart!! We worked with Contagious events from start to finish and we are so glad we did! Joe and Gail had an answer for everything from attire to etiquette. We went in with no clue about how to plan a wedding, and we felt like we were in safe hands the entire time. They are true professionals. Every vendor they connected us with was fantastic. The Contagious team's design sensibilities truly impressed me; Joe took my vague utterances about vibes and aesthetics and translated them into a jaw-dropping library wedding with lovely details like a card catalog for table cards and author portraits as table numbers. What really stood out was how Joe and Gail took care of us during the wedding day. They seamlessly coordinated the vendors, managed the run of show, answered a million questions from frazzled family members, and made last minute changes completely unruffled. My parents and I realized just before we walked out that we couldn’t all three fit in the aisle together, and Joe was so calm about changing up the walk order that it helped us all calm down as well. Weddings will be stressful no matter what, but having Joe and Gail in our corner made it possible to enjoy the process.

Joe and Contagious Events were worth every penny! The whole team went above and beyond in making our special day possible.

Couples use the Contagious wedding portal to track guest count, obtain vendor suggestions, and update financial spreadsheets. Additionally, the portal has a monthly tracker for couples to check off completed tasks. It makes the whole planning process so much easier to handle when you have all the information in one place, and broken down into easily digestible bullets. Joe also sets up monthly meetings to keep us up to date and on track with the planning process.

Before I conclude, I also have to mention how absolutely helpful Joe was during Covid. Like so many couples, we had to reschedule our planned wedding in 2020 due to the pandemic. It was incredibly stressful and disheartening experience, but Joe really took a huge burden off of us when he reached out to all our vendors and ensured we were able to reschedule without hassle. That alone was worth every penny we paid.

Joe is amiable, professional, organized and gave us great wedding advice! His assistance truly lifted such a burden off of my (now) husband and my plate during the hectic and stressful wedding planning process. Hiring the Contagious team was the best investment in our wedding we made! 5/5 stars!

We were referred to Joe by close friends who shared the same gushing feelings over his contribution, vision and bad-assery and I'm so glad we listened to them. Joe not only helped hone the vision we had for our wedding - which was very light, I think we told him "we just want everyone to have the best time" - but he crafted moments and memories that we never could have dreamed of. His close ties to the wedding community helped surface food, music and reception ideas we never would have even thought to search for. We really enjoyed working with Joe for the year and half leading up the wedding. We realized a couple months into planning on our own that this was going to be a painful process if we didn't find some help as we were based in Texas and planning a wedding in Boston. Joe came highly recommended from our photographer and we knew after the first phone call that he was the one for us! As an interracial couple, it can be sometimes hard to find wedding inspiration and vendors that can fit both of our needs/wants in a wedding and Joe his team were able to find the best vendors and most importantly those within our budget! Joe helped us navigate some tricky elements with such grace and understanding. My father came up to me after the wedding and said this as the only wedding he has ever been to where something didn't go wrong. Even if something did go wrong, Joe and his team handled everything in a way that neither my husband and I would have noticed! An added bonus was all the rentals that Contagious Events has that added the perfect final touch to the wedding and made it a fun experience for all around! After our monthly phone calls my now husband would always say after we hung up, "I don't know where we would be without Joe". Truly, such a huge part of making our wedding the success that it was.
