We stayed at the Compass Inn for two nights, and were very impressed with the hotel. It is in a very quiet area, next to the bridge which goes across to Anna Maria island. Our room was upgraded to a marina view, which was extremely kind of the hotel staff, as the view from our balcony was lovely. The rooms are quite spacious and very clean, with comfortable beds, and tasteful decor. I would say that the air conditioning unit in our room was quite noisy, but didn’t really affect our sleep. Breakfast was part of our package, and everything we had was great, with plenty of choices to suit all tastes. We did eat in Floriday’s restaurant twice during our stay, which is attached to the hotel, and the dinners we had were excellent. The staff were very friendly, especially the lady at breakfast, and made for an excellent vacation. Thanks to everyone at the Compass Inn!

Hotel experience was great until we ran out of shampoo. Asked three days for housekeeping visits to have it refilled. Today I asked again and was told by the same front desk receptionist that “It was filled and they took a picture to prove it”. I had to take a video of the empty shampoo bottle and bring it to the front desk to “prove” the empty bottle was legit. Unfortunately it cast a bit of a shadow on our trip. Bring your own shampoo! Hotel is nice with a good location and breakfast selection. Fish House restaurant is located adjacent to the hotel and has good food.

I can only begin by saying from the time we walked in we were very impressed with the cleanliness and the uplifting spirit of a safe, fun, place. If you are a Jimmy Buffet fan this is a what heavens like.||Upon check in we were met by staff with never ending smiles. One associate in particular stood out. The day we checked in she (Michelle) wasn't even there and still helped us. ||We had a unique challenge that required a team member to call Michelle on her day off at home to get the answer we had hoped for.|| Michelle was an unsung hero on that day and the days that followed. In addition to helping us navigate through the check in process when it appeared we had some barriers with availability. She helped us with minor modifications and additional comforts as my wife has mobility issues.||Michelle leads by example and her approach must have been contagious as the rest of the staff shared the same smile and "Can do" Attitude. There were many others I can visualize who made our stay so relaxing including Sandy who also walked the extra mile to make our stay so worthwhile.||The facility was spotless, the breakfast buffet Amazing, the restaurant first class, all 10's on my scorecard, but it was the people that I was most impressed with. There is a certain comfort as a guest I feel when surrounded by such pleasant people. 'Well Done" Compass.

This hotel is amazing! It was our first trip but not our last. From the moment you walked in the door we felt welcomed. Check in was easy and the front desk staff courteous and super friendly. Sandy even text us a few times during our stay to see if we needed anything.

Once we arrived to our room, it was not only clean and comfortable but lovely. The linens and towels are high quality, which I value. Our room provided for a balcony, so morning coffee with a beautiful view was a nice treat. Our stay was quiet and peaceful with a great relaxed vibe.

We enjoyed the bar and pool area where once again, staff is friendly and attentive, especially Cindy. We wanted for nothing!
Also breakfast provided is not your typical continental, it’s a full meal with so many options. Don’t skip it!

We appreciated the attention to detail and cleanliness throughout the hotel. But what sets this far above a typical hotel, is the people. The staff leave's you feeling that they really enjoy their jobs and making your stay special. Brian, the GM, went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Refreshing!

We love this hotel so much! The staff is VERY accommodating and friendly. We loved our pool cocktail/dinner server, Cindy! She was continually checking up on our needs with her great & friendly personality.|Dawn and Sharon in the breakfast area were also amazing! They went out of their way to make our morning experience enjoyable. The front desk clerks were SO helpful with advice and went to much trouble to put our rooms together with our friends.

This hotel is amazing. When checking in all the staff was so helpful and cheerful. Our room was gorgeous. The pool was the perfect temperature. The breakfast has everything You could want. I would recommend this place to everyone I know. The room was super clean. I can't say enough on how hospitable all the staff are. They make Your stay so enjoyable and go out of their way to make You feel welcome. 10 stars!!

I travel ALOT! I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. First, the warm & welcome greeting when we arrived. Made us feel like VIPs. Then the room was spacious and comfortable, and the pillows are heavenly. It is a short drive to the beach. We enjoyed good live music at the Floridays next to the hotel. Food was decent. The next morning the breakfast buffet was delicious. They had an older woman working and she kept checking on everyone and it was nice to have her conversation. Everything we had was delicious. We only stayed one night but cannot wait to return. Beautiful and clean.

The staff at this hotel is amazing; like Ritz Carlton/Four Seasons amazing. After the recent hurricanes they welcomed us in and bent over backwards to make us feel at home during a time of extreme hardship for us (and our neighbors). The GM, Front Desk Team and restaurant staff were all exceptional. As an example, I was waiting in line to extend our reservation; a dude walks out from behind the desk and asks what I need. I told him and he said “I got it, you’re all set.” Bam, that easy. No waiting for computers or other normal procedures, just instant, easy service. (Turns out it was the GM, who miraculously remembered my name the entire visit after this interaction). This is my new go-to hotel recommendation for people visiting the island. KILLER service, clean and comfortable accommodations, and super reasonable prices. Very close to the beach and Anna Maria.
