This is a nice hotel of the Choice brand with a very pleasant staff. Nice rooms too. The reason for the three stars is "pet rooms" are on the third floor. Pet rooms on the third floor. I have a legitimate service dog for my disability but I am tired of arguing because "comfort dog" people have made every check-in staff member a detective. So I pay the pet fee. And they put us on the third floor. As I said, nice hotel, just odd that pets are upstairs.

The front desk lady, Mary was amazing! She was so helpful and understanding. Every hotel in the area was booked and she was able to get us in at the last second! She was the only one there and was super busy, but her attitude didn't reflect anything but happiness! She alone is the reason I'd stay there again. My only complaint is that there was no hot tub. The shower pressure was wonderful ! Beds were comfortable,and the rooms were clean.! The room did smell like stale smoke but it didn't affect our stay. Overall the pros outweighed the cons!

Positive: Wonderful place to stay, room was wonderful for my handicap daughter. The cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. Had wood floors instead of carpet. Love the floors and there was no grit anywhere. Negative: The breakfast. was great, but suggest you have gravey and biscuits added

Positive: The cleanliness of the hotel and pet-friendly Negative: There were no towel bars in the bathrooms. Breakfast was not so great. The box eggs were dry, and the only cereal was an oatmeal type.

My wife and I stayed here one night (arrived Saturday 5/25/25) on our trip back to Alabama from Arizona and everything was great! Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast selection was good, and the quality of the food itself was good as well. Plenty of parking here with a movie theater right next door so if you’re there multiple days there’s entertainment within walking distance! Great nights stay for us and I’d definitely recommend this location to anyone and we’d definitely stay here again if we ever come through Van Buren again!

I changed the reservation dates in advance. The Choice Hotel manager said they would waive the rescheduling fee. When I checked in, the front desk clerk charged me an extra fee for rescheduling. She tried to charge a fee for our service dog. We had to prove she was trained as a service dog and show documentation.
The room was great and clean. Breakfast food was good.

Update: GM Mike Patel told me to contact the site I booked with for a refund. I reached out to that site, and was quickly approved for a refund, but Mr. Patel still declined to refund me! He instead decided to keep my money and threaten me. Stay far away! The people who work here are not good people.

While checking in, I was charged a much higher rate than advertised due to my support animal. I was asked to provide written proof that I am disabled, which is a clear violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. After I provided documentation, manager Mike Patel stated that the extra charge would not be waived. Fine. But, when I politely asked for a refund since he was demanding nearly double the advertised rate, which I could not afford, Mr. Patel quickly became belligerent. He declined to accommodate me or provide a refund, leaving me stranded late at night. He offered no problem solving or customer service. Instead, he talked over me, yelled at me, and threatened to call the police repeatedly until I left. He was only concerned about keeping my money and removing me from sight. I've honestly never encountered a person as disrespectful as Mike Patel working in any customer service role.

No real complaints. Just wish the AC was a lil more like home. It was cold, just not REALLY cold. Front staff (especially Cody) was amazing. Nice, standard breakfast. Good location. Walk to a movie theater. And within 2 - 3 miles of pretty much anything else you need. All the fast food stops, steak house, walmart, CVS, etc.
