Great staff, spotless bathrooms, every brochure you could possibly want for every place in Colorado. Don’t miss the pioneer woman statue outside.

The Colorado Welcome Center in Lamar was really inviting! Shannon was a resource for all things southeastern Colorado, as well as the history of the town itself. As I work in a welcome center back home in western Kansas, it was nice to also understand how Colorado operates their tourism centers.

The restrooms were very clean. The place was decorated nicely with its historic charm, and the train out front is a sight to behold!

So you are in Lamar Colorado and ... need a break from the drive the nonsense, the tumbleweeds and cattle pens. These Colorado Welcome Centers are great! Kate hosted us and was so friendly. She asked where we were going and how things were out there. She knows Colorado having lived on the West Slope, she has seen it all. I use the same center in Dillon/Silverthorne each week going skiiing at Vail/BeaverCreek or Copper Mountain, and it has the same kind of host. They relate and are real good people at these centers. Also, they know Colorado and can answer any question you can throw at them. CLEAN restrooms. GREAT information and guidance. SUPER tips on your travels. STOP. It will be the best one you make along the Arkansas River Valley all the way across Kansas and Colorado.

Courteous and helpful staff. All the brochures one will need to explore Colorado. Located in a train station with lots of history. Has a big wind turbine blade in the front.

Don was extremely knowledgeable and resourceful in helping us plan our stay in Colorado. He was very kind and it was obvious he loves his job. The center was very organized and well labeled with resources and travel planning. Stop by for free resources on Colorado vacation spots! Free wifi and clean restrooms. Close to a coffee shop and picnic area.
