Coastal Segway Tours was an amazing experience. The rental process was simple and the people were very kind. You can reserve online, but we were a walk-in. No problem. They set us up with 2 kids bikes and a tandem bike for my wife and I. They gave us a map and we went on our way. Before we knew it we were riding all around the Gulf Shore Trail. We covered 13 miles and enjoyed the natural beauty of it all. We saw plenty of natural flora and some fauna including wild American Alligators and what I think was a grouse. We saw seagulls and hawks or falcons. We loved every moment of our trip. You drive your bikes up and across wooden boardwalks that cut through the natural wildlife and wind your ways through pine and oak scrub lands. We highly recommend Coastal Segway Tours. They are friendly and offer all kinds of fun including tours if you don’t want to go off on your own. They offer bikes, e-bikes, and kayaks. Check them out for a great time for the whole family.

Connie J was our tour guide. She was amazing. So personable and knowledgeable of the area. Great stories and such a genuine and kind soul. Segway riding was fun and after a short lesson we were very comfortable with driving them. We will be back! Highly recommend for couples or families with older children.

Our experience with Coastal Segway Adventures was lovely. Mike, our guide was wonderful. We couldn’t have asked for a better instructor to teach us how to ride, educate us about the wildlife we saw and lead our adventure. Mike kept our group of five safe through the ride; we made plenty of rest stops at pertinent places to observe important landmarks and have us clear expectations of what was likely ahead.
We had never ridden a Segway, but after Mike’s clear tutorial and practice run we were ready to go. May 15 year old son, my husband and I did it together and I highly recommend the experience.

Our segway tour was so fun for our group with 6 kids ages 12 to 19. Mike was a great guide and the kids loved every minute of it. Definitely a must do if you love being outdoors and enjoy nature.

This was my second time on the Segway tour, and I specifically asked for Connie. She was as wonderful the first time as she was yesterday!

She is soooo helpful in making each and every person feel comfortable on the Segway before heading out on the trails, and is very aware of each person’s ability AND COMFORTABILITY, and she will go the speed necessary to accommodate everyone, until everyone is comfortable. This is all to say DON’T BE SCARED! SHE’LL HELP YOU OUT!

In no time you will feel comfortable on the trails.

After that, she is a wealth of knowledge. If you just got bit by a bug, she’s got a remedy! If you haven’t, you’ll just learn about it for next time you’re in nature!

She’ll teach you history of the location, all about the plants, the monarch butterflies, and the gators that are creatures of habit and frequent the same places. She’ll take you to observe them!

This is a MUST DO if you’re in the area. Literally… I’ve done it twice. I might do it once more before I leave.

Book it for sure, and for a great eco tour, I highly recommend Connie!

We got to experience the Segway tour this weekend and had an amazing time. Connie was our guide and she was fantastic. We went to the 11:30a session and were the only ones so it was like we had our own private tour! Connie was knowledgeable about all the wildlife and very personable. She was even able to point out the mama alligator “Lefty” and her baby. I highly recommend this tour. Thanks Connie for awesome wonderful afternoon adventure!

GREAT activity! We were provided two awesome guides, Mike and Abbey, who took our group of seven “60 somethings” on the Segway tour. We were a very inexperienced group, some with knee or back issues, but they provided a very thorough training before we left and we all had a safe and wonderful ride. The segways were much easier to operate than any of us expected, even those of us who are “coordination challenged”! The guides stopped our group several times to point out different animals and plants, as well as to provide some historical information. Each time they were very attentive to be sure everyone safely managed their Segway. The two hours flew by quickly! We highly recommend this tour if you are looking for a unique way to spend a few hours enjoying fresh air and nature in Gulf Shores!
