Beautiful area to hike throughand with a fun 2x4 with ropes bridge to try and cross when you get to the stream/river. Be careful though because you need really good balance and I don't think it was constructed/put up by the forest preserve agency. Also some cool geocaches if you follow that hobby. We went through in October when it was dry and a little chilly so there was no issues with insects.🙃
