We did the seven Bridges trail. It was quite interesting. Sometimes the path was smooth and sometimes you had to navigate over some rocks. I wouldn't suggest doing it in the rain cuz you might slip on the rocks rocks. It was nice cuz it was in the shade and you were walking by the creek so you got the breeze of the creek.

What a amazing state park. Beside having the best full hookup campground this State Park offers hiking trails to meet the expectations of all hikers

Stop at the visitors center and ask for a hiking trail that will fit your experience level. They also offer hose and biking trails as well as walk in primitive tent sites

Took a nice, short, hike along Cougar Shadow and whatever that other trail was. We started at the 'amphitheater' and did a loop.

It was a little confusing getting in as the gate was not staffed. Since we already had a state park pass we just pressed on through.

The motto of Colorado should be anything to make a buck!

I am a Colorado native and my family were pioneers here, settling and ranching here before Colorado even became a state.

Colorado went from an open free part of America, to having to pay to go just about anywhere. The parks department has spread out all over Colorado like a fungus and are continually closing down every beautiful place, so you have to pay to go everywhere. This place is a prime example. You can actually be fined here for not carrying enough poop bags

I read in the reviews how this is the best state park in Colorado. Whomever wrote that review, sounds like the typical person moving here. Completely clueless on how bad the situation here really is. All of this money builds mansions for the local government and nothing else.

I have hiked all 58 14ers in Colorado and most of the other peaks too. This Cheyenne state park is worth only 1 visit. If you want to see the REAL Colorado, stay far from this place.

I give this place half a star!

GOOGLE REMOVED THE PICTURES I TOOK OF THE SIGN SAYING YOU WILL BE FINED FOR NOT HAVING A POOP BAG FOR YOUR DOG.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park is the Taj Mahal of Colorado's State Parks. The visitor center is your guide to this fantastic park! The well informed staff will assist you and answer all your questions. The visitor center has a public restroom, both male and female sides. They have snacks, drinks, and even ice cream choices, not soft serve ice cream. They have booklets, souvenirs, and of course patches and stickers. They have many classes during the year, like women's archery, beginner disc golf, hiking safety, and so many more. Yes this Park has a 9-hole or basket disc golf course! They also have a fantastic archery setup. Practice targets at different ranges and a 3-D archery course! The trail hiking is great, the camping and the sites are plentiful, and the scenery is breathtaking. You can even hike to the top of Cheyenne Mountain by way of the Dixon trail. SAFETY REMINDER!! Know your limitations. Make sure you have more than enough water and food or snacks for your hike. We saw a family hiking without water and it was pretty hot. They were from another state. Number One Rule when hiking in Colorado is to make sure you have enough water or your choice of electrolytes. The park has flush toilets and hot water for showers. They even have a laundry room. There is no water features in the Park like lakes or ponds or rivers or streams, none. There are rattlesnakes and bears have been sighted, so have situation awareness.

Great park, Large with lots of hiking areas, picnic area and camping. The park is on a hill side so most areas have great views of the CO plains.
