Trey B was our guide and he was incredible! We had a large group of 23 and they took us on the very next tour but I would recommend buying tickets in advance. Trey kept us organized, well informed, and was super knowledgeable and hilarious! We had a crying toddler and he stepped aside and asked if there was anything he could do to help, offered us water or if we would like a private escort to the main lobby. Our son stopped crying and Trey said he is happy to help us at a time during the tour if he started crying again. We had snacks there and they were good, service with a smile for sure! We also bought a large bag of dirt the mother load and all the kids shared it and there was tons of fossils and gems in it that they panned out in the front of the building. All the kids went home with something! This was a once in a lifetime experience and we loved every minute of it. Excellent staff and gorgeous views. This is a top notch family nature visitor center!

Cave of the Winds is stunning as always. I still remember the school field trips from my youth and the multiple visits I made with my parents. It is awesome to get to go on the tour again and share this great experience with my children. They were in awe of just how massive the cave is and how long it takes for the structures to grow into what is seen today.

The tour was as great as I remember… sharing the history of the cave, information about the formation of the structures, as well as the stories and lore behind the expeditions of so long ago. Our guide was great and did a great job explaining things to the adults as well as to the children in a level they could understand.

The grounds were very neat and clean and the scenery everywhere is absolutely beautiful. This is a must for any family.

Super niche review here, but oh my god this place is a godsend. My husband and I suddenly found ourselves needing to elope, the first place we thought of was Cave of the Winds. The prices for that? incredibleeee! we had full reign of the cave after hours for hours. On our actual wedding date, every single guest we invited fell so sick it was incredible. we had to cancel last minuet! The cave folks (namely Jim!) met us with so much compassion! They said to not sweat it and to call them again to reschedule. We had an AMAZING photographer. (Mazie who owns @Cains_Candids - could not/would not recommend anyone else for your wedding photographer needs!- also agreed to meet us there when we all felt better) Jim spent the entire night with us with Mazie, walking around, showing us the coolest places to shoot, holding phones, lipsticks, camera equipment, and cheering us on, he even carried around our speaker! He really added so much levity and was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful too! (also very funny). Thank you, Cave of the Winds and your whole staff, for being so kind, helpful and compassionate! and thank you Jim for having a blast with us all night!!

Had an absolutely amazing time here today! Adam was a phenomenal tour guide during the lantern tour. Joel was absolutely amazing while we were doing the ropes course. He was very reassuring and knew what to say while giving us tips on making it through the course! Rob was so sweet while assisting us with the zip line and hanging out when we did the ropes course. Could not have asked for better staff! Everyone was so sweet and kind. Definitely will be coming back soon!

Very cool site to visit! The Caves are very cool and the view from the top is impressive. Crazy drive with hair pin turns to the building. Take the drive slow and steady.
There is food and drinks (including adult beverages) offered near the gift shop.
Nick was our tour guide, he was very knowledgeable. I felt that the "discovery tour" was a bit rushed and over crowded for the tight spaces (the only reason I did not give this 5 stars).

Enjoyed our tour of Cave of the Winds…We had Jake as our guide and he made our experience entertaining and informative. You could tell he takes his job seriously by really understanding the history of the cave and presenting the information in an entertaining fashion. He’s gonna make a fantastic dad one day because his dad jokes were hilarious; so much so that I added some to my dad joke arsenal. All in all I’m glad that we spontaneously decided to visit Cave of the Winds and I’m glad we got stuck with Jake as our guide.

Had an amazing time at the Haunted Lantern Tour today. Lots of parking, easy access, cool gift shop. Our tour guide Nina was absolutely rad and really made the whole experience even better. She was so engaging and knowledgeable, and shared a ton of old timey gossip and history that fit the spooky mood. The caves are awe-inspiring, especially by lantern light. The whole experience was totally worth it - 10/10 recommend taking your friends / family / anyone visiting here

Pretty chilly in the caves, so wear long sleeves and leggings! And wear tennis shoes! The caves were stunning! Went on the Haunted Tour. Nothing spooky happened, but the tour guide was exciting. You do have to watch your head because the tunnels get narrow and short. I would not recommend a bun, but a low ponytail could be safe; your hair will snag on the rocks. The lanterns were actually tin buckets with oil burners. The caves do have the aroma of wet stalagmites, so if you don't like that smell, you're weird (kidding). You will see your breath down there! But it was very nice down there; absolutely stunning.
