I brought my husband for his first visit tonight (I’d been once myself on a work luncheon). I knew he’d love everything on the menu. He ended up with the baked haddock & I got the apple walnut salmon. The entrees were amazing!!! Our server, Caili, was very attentive, friendly, and offered terrific suggestions! Definitely a 5 star visit! We will return!

Went in with my boyfriend and daughters almost 2 weeks ago, Saturday, December 21, 2024 what an Absolute Incredible Place! As soon you come in you see their merchandise with funny T-shirt’s and hoodies. Restaurant also has seating area for those waiting for a table. Team members also are wearing merchandise Restaurant has a very nice large dining area and Beautiful Bar too ample space, and wheelchair accessible. We were led right to our table by a smiling hostess, and our server came a few minutes later. The server took our orders and then brought us water and one of the best cornbread and butter we’ve ever had, he wasn’t really engaging or attentive but overall our experience was still good. Appetizers/entrees was brought out by other team members WOW ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Definitely going to make our way back!!

Our server, who was also the bartender as well, was awesome. Despite the very busy time and multiple tables he was taking care of, he made sure we were not missing anything and checked on us multiple times throughout the night. The food was great. I would greatly recommend it if you are in the area.

Apple wood salmon. The salmon was great. The sides could use some work. The top was covered in some kind of purple flowers. Looked good but I didn't find them edible. How about some blueberries or sliced grapes? The green beans and sweet potatoes didn't impress me. I would have preferred butter roasted carrots or asparagus and mash potatoes. More apples, larger sliced maybe. They had some deep fried pickles that I thought were the best I have had.

This place had been on my “Want To Go” list for quite some time and I finally got to try them out for a family dinner.

I ordered the Alehouse Fish and Chips (beer-battered vs dry-battered) with sweet potato fries and regular French fries as sides accompanied with their sriracha tartar sauce.

In a city known for world-class seafood and with every restaurant offering their own version of fish and chips, I must say that Cask & Pig’s iteration is my favorite. Firstly, the portion size was huge! Always a good thing. Secondly, I really liked their beer batter. The batter is often where some restaurants fall short on and can make or break the meal. This one was perfectly done! The perfect amount of batter to fish ratio, and just the right amount of crispiness on the outside. The fish itself was nice and moist and tasty on the inside also.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the sriracha tartar sauce. Yes, I’m highlighting tartar sauce, if you can believe that! It was that good and unique. I loved the hint of spiciness the sriracha added to what is always an afterthought everywhere else. Well done!

The accompanying fries, both the sweet potato and regular, were also delicious. I would describe them as almost light, if that makes any sense. I also like that they weren’t overly greasy, a big no-no for me.

I also chose to wash my meal down with a Smoked Old Fashioned. I loved Cask & Pig’s version of the classic cocktail! They bring you a glass with the drink in it and an accompanying sealed bottle with the smoke in it. You then pour the smoke into the drink. A rather unique and memorable presentation. I was also pleased to find that they give you a good pour too. No watered down drinks here. You’ll feel their version! Lol!

Service was excellent! Very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu with good recommendations that worked out well for our party’s dinner. We made sure the tip reflected the stellar level of service we received.

All in all, I highly recommend Cask & Pig and very much look forward to my next visit to try their other menu items.

Food was okay. I had to send my steak back because it was well done when I asked for medium rare. The fries tasted like they were reheated. When they brought my steak the second time the fries tasted better. They have lots of beers on tap and the dessert menu looked delicious. I would go back and try again. The grits are delicious.

Picked up takeout from here tonight. The times we have been here before the food was good, not great but good enough to go to again. Tonight the food wasn’t enjoyable at all. I got ribs with beans and mashed, they put a Sauce container right in my beans. The ribs were dry and seemed to reheated a few times. My husband got the Mac and cheese and said the sauce tasted off and the chicken was “old and dry” on top. Our meals were close to $70 with tip, would expect better quality.

Came for lunch. Reservations are highly recommended, at 1:30pm on a Sunday, the place was busy. Food was very good. Didn't wait long for food to hit the table after we ordered it. Tye fish sandwich was cooked to perfection. Not over battered at all. The Mac & Cheese was incredible. And the Gall Butternut squash dish was excellent. Service was good, waiter was attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
