Thanks so much for such a fun tour, Jasper! The cave is very unique and active. Definitely recommend. You do have to stoop down quite a bit and walk down stairs and over some slippery surfaces, so just be aware of that. But definitely a cool experience and a nice break from the Texas heat down there!

My wife and went to Cascade Caverns yesterday and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. This is the 4th cave system we have visited in Texas and while not the biggest tour it was very good. Sebastian was our tour guide and he was very informative. He told us the history of the caverns and took his time to answer all of our questions. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. We got to see a couple of bats and a salamander or two. We had a smaller group which made it that much more pleasant. I would recommend Cascade Caverns if you are looking for something to do on a hot Texas day of if you’re new to caves. The trail down was pretty easy and the walking trail inside is wide with very few obstacles. There is one point where you have to duck and walk thirty feet bent over but that wasn’t too bad. The cave itself ended in a large room with a waterfall at the back that was just beautiful. This cave had features we didn’t see in the other caves we have been to and it was great to have to opportunity to see those. It was a fun day even with the drive from Auston. Texas traffic can be overwhelming at times. I highly recommend a relaxing visit.

I gotta say, the history surrounding the property & caves are fascinating. But what really made my bday exploration day even better was Kyle. The energy he brought to not only my partner & i, but to the group as a while was wholehearted energetic fun through & through. Wouldn't have been the same without him that's for sure.
I also found that there's a deeper level to the caves that requires one to maneuver through water. We plan to attend that whenever that gets up & running again.

Had a great experience exploring Cascade caverns! Definitely worth checking out with your family. Our guide (I unfortunately forgot his name) was an amazing guide, he took his time letting my family explore the cave at our slower pace and working extremely well with my two boys while they explored. I attached some amazing shots on our adventure and will be returning again for the Aquifer tour with some friends.

The price was reasonable for a family of 4 and if you’re looking to possibly luck out on a private tour, the weekdays are your best chance to experience the cave tour with just your family as they are often less busy.

I went on this tour with my husband and two daughters. We all really liked it. Our guide Kyle was great. The girls liked the fact that they got their own flashlight. We went during the first week in January so we basically got a private tour which was great. No one felt rushed and we got to thoroughly enjoy each area. There are many interesting things to see. If it would have been a little warmer we would have loved to go for a walk and explore the trails. I’m sure this place was beautiful in its prime. Now, it could use a little TLC but still a pretty neat place.

This is a laid back, non-commercialized, vintage style cavern tour. There are quite a few steps but we septuagenarians made it just fine. We enjoyed our guide Ray’s humor and learned a lot. We saw some tri-colored bats, toads and salamanders while on the tour. The cave temperature was in the 60’s with some humidity but very comfortable. There are some slippery spots and some low “ceilings” but very doable. It’s definitely worth the visit.

The tour is great, the caverns are a bit cold and very pretty, the only thing is that I feel it should cost a bit less, maybe 15 instead of 19+tax
