This company is dishonestly retaining all money paid to them for school exchange trips. They have not been able to provide service because of Covid restrictions but that does not give them the right to keep the money. They are offering vouchers to be used within one year which clearly does not work for school trips. They must have made millions from cancelled trips. Clearly this family business have pocketed the money. You should think twice, thrice or more times before paying money to this business. Schools should not be aiding and abetting this fraud.

This tour company refuses to refund a DC trip for middle school children. They also refuse to present parents or the school with an accounting of how money was spent. We were told we had trip insurance and could cancel with a full refund minus $99, this turned out to be false. Carousel profited from the Covid pandemic by keeping over $300,000 from our school families. Shame on them.

Carousel is not a reputable business at all. They are profiting off of the COVID 19 crisis by refusing to refund trip fees as outlined in their written policies when they cancel a tour. Now it’s lawyers, the Attorney General’s office etc. Carousel had over 2 months to make things right and do the honorable and above board thing but they are choosing profit over people.

My high school has been working with Carousel Student Tours for about 20 years, but personally it has been only about 17 years. That says it all! We started with our German exchange, and it was such a big success that we added the Italians, the French, and the Spanish. We also use them for some of our domestic trips to DC and NYC.
I like their work because I don't talk to a machine when I call. Because when I am overseas with a group of students I can text or call the office and they are there 24/7. REALLY! Remember 17 years....! Think about it, no one needs to be stranded with 20 plus students in a foreign country!!! If you ask you may have a guide traveling with you, or one on the sights only, or no guide at all.Their trips are customized to what our teachers want and I have not found better prices. Try them out; it is a great experience/adventure. I don't give them a 5 stars because no one is perfect.
