We saw about the Calusa Land Trust hosting a kayak excursion around Calusa Island and we were able to quickly and easily book two kayaks from Carmen’s online only a day or two in advance. Pick up and do of were easy and we had a great experience. Carmen’s folks were super friendly and even threw in a dry bag for my wife to use.

Loved our kayak excursion! We showed up with no reservation on New Year's Day and they set us up with 3 Kayaks for a 2 hour paddle. They provided us with a map of the area and we set off around Calusa Island. Tons of birds and a visit from a dolphin as we arrived back to the boat launch. Amazing - will be back on future visits for sure.

10/10 would recommend Carmen's Kayaks. Joe and Lisa have such a passion for the area and their passion is passed onto their clients. We had a blast fishing (caught a bunch) and learning about the local ecosystems. We also took the Eco Tour and learned so much about the long history of this area.

Great spot to launch your own kayak ($5)

Owners are kind and helpful. After a bolt and nut in my kayak seat fell out rendering my backrest unusable and uncomfortable, they were able to get me some new hardware and have me back on the water in a few minutes

Joe is great and the kayaking is awesome. Lots of birds and places to beach and get out during the exploration. Head over across the canal to Jug Creek for some delicious Mullett fish.
