What an experience...totally mesmerizing. We took the 1.30 pm tour, our tour initially got cancelled due to wind conditions not being favourable. The office was very prompt enough to inform about cancellation and rebooked us for the next day. The whole tour took around 4 hours and we saw 5-6 humpback whales, few toothed whales and a seal. Seeing them in their natural environment was totally incredible. The whales were very active and we saw a lot of activity which the crew said was very rare. We even saw the whales take a jump. The crew was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. Totally recommended if you visit Gloucester, MA

One of THE best whale watching experiences I have ever had. Tour guides were passionate and knowledgeable. Boat was great.

Only thing we wished they had was the ability to take card payment as we had no cash for snacks.

Amazing trip to see the whales! We saw many humpback whales, a seal and spotted a different species of whale that we couldn’t get the best look at. The humpbacks were plentiful and closer to the boat than I expected. The staff were knowledgeable and kind. If we ever make another trip into the area, we will absolutely join another tour. This was a bucket list item for me and it was better than I could have imagined!! I didn’t get many photos because I didn’t want to drop my phone in the ocean but this one is my favorite I managed to get.

Cape Ann did a nice job for their whale watching tour. The staff were knowledgable and friendly. The process for buying tickets was easy, and quick, and we picked up tickets at the gift shop when we arrived. Plenty of parking for the tour. The boat and gift shop were handicap accessible but not the bathroom. Theres 4 clean bathrooms on the boat, but Someone would have to get out of their wheelchair and walk over a lip to get into the bathroom. Also the toilets were higher than usual, having to stand on your tippy toes to sit on the throne. There were two Bathroom port o potties in parking lot, also not wheelchair accessible. Indoor covered seating as well as outdoor - along side front and back and upper deck seating.
There was hot food inside for sale, cash only, and a bar serving alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.

The water was a bit choppy on 9/10/24 but we knew that going in and took some dramamine before hand. We rode out far north, almost parallel to hampton beach, it was about a 4 ish (close to 5 hour)hour boat ride. The ride was beautiful and saw many lighthouses, islands, and houses. We saw dolphins first, then some people saw a shark, then we saw humpback whales. They made many attempts for everyone to see the whales. We only had two complaints, and one was more of a preference. The speaker in the back of the boat didnt work, so we couldnt hear anything they were saying. Second complaint…We thought they were borderline harassing the whales, just so they could get to the whales quick enough for us to see them. We were almost competing with another boat, to see who could get to them the fastest, and therefore, not being good to the wildlife in the process.
But it was a great ride, and the staff were friendly. They definitely try to make sure you see whales and dolphins or you get a free ticket to come back a different day, as its outside of their control. The tour was definitely worth the money.

Will go back! They were so awesome! We had such an amazing time. They are very knowledgeable. There are concessions on the boat during the trip as well. You can sit outside, inside or on top. I've been telling everyone about this place, we enjoyed it so much.

First time on a whale watch and it was great!! Nice speedy ride out to the feeding grounds. The woman giving the narration and sights was pleasant and informative. When we arrived to the area for whale sightings, there were plenty. I believe we saw around 15-20 in all. There was even a mother and her calf. The tour boat has both deck seating, top and bottom. They also have inside seating and a galley for food and drink. The length of the excursion was around 3 1/2 - 4 hours. A great time, even getting splashed by the waves!!!

I have been the whale watching in Maine. That moment, I saw very few of them. So I didn't expect to see them in real actually. But it happened! Although they are too far from our ship, I could see them many in this time. OMG. It's so wonderful.
The reservation processing was so smooth that although I had to change my schedule 2 times, they were so helpful in timely.
I recommend Cape Ann Whale Watch.

This was our very first whale watching experience. It was soooo good!! The staff and crew were so helpful and kind. We lost track of how many whales we saw- they know where to find them!! They made sure to have equal time for all sides of the boat to see whales. They had someone on the crew on the mic and she was soo knowledgeable!! They offer food and drinks on the boat- CASH ONLY!!! There are restrooms on the boat as well as indoor and outdoor seating. I would recommend this company for a great experience!
