My boyfriend and I took a lower cape helicopter tour with Rob and we had the best experience! The most breathtaking views and Rob made sure that both of us could enjoy it from different sides! He made sure we were comfortable in the helicopter since it was both of our first times flying in one. The booking process was very easy and the value was very good for the price that the tour costs as we were able to see so much in the hour that we were airborne. I would definitely recommend Cape and Vineyard Helicopter Tours for anyone!

We had an excellent flight with Rob. He was very informative and gave us details of everything to expect of the ride. He knows his way around Cape Cod and provided details of everything we saw. We travel to the Cape regularly but this was our first helicopter ride. You truly can't visualize the grandeur of Cape Cod without seeing it this way. With Rob as our pilot we will certainly be back to ride with him again. Thank you Rob!

I took a flight with Rob on November 16th, 2025 and he unknowingly saved my engagement.

I had scheduled a helicopter tour with a local competitor for that day. The morning of, I received an email and call from Rob’s competitor, letting me know that unfortunately, the helicopter was deemed unfit for flight the day prior at a routine inspection. Very unfortunately for me, this was the day that I was planning to propose to my future wife.

Instead of panicking I called (seemingly) the only other helicopter tour service that flies year-round on the cape. I called around 9am and Rob answered the phone. Instead of crying to Rob and attempting to tug on his heartstrings with my situation, I simply asked if he had any opportunities today for a last-minute impromptu flight.

Unbeknownst to myself, Rob is a man that LOVES to fly and was incredibly happy to fit a flight into his schedule. Unbeknownst to him, I was incredibly desperate to still propose today (since this was not the only thing I had lined up for the day, and we were driving down from Boston) and he was truly my only option to still incorporate a helicopter tour into the proposal (we first started dating on the Cape).

I never once brought up the fact that Rob was saving my proposal and would have a momentous impact on both of our lives.

I had flowers, champagne, and chocolates set up at the other helicopter tour company (which I hope they enjoyed) and even though I did not attempt to coordinate this with Rob, everything still worked out perfectly.

I was originally planning to propose at sunset on the helicopter (we took a flight ~2 hours before sunset due to his last-minute schedule that day), but ended up proposing at a beach we used to enjoy back in the day (at sunset).

The flight itself was fantastic, it was my first helicopter ride personally; so I do not have much to compare it to. It was smooth, we enjoyed ourselves the entire time, and never felt any sense of worry during the flight. From pre-flight to landing Rob explains everything you need to know and is committed to keeping you safe. Just make sure to pay attention and retain what he is communicating to you and you will have a great experience. The passion Rob had for enjoying his life and hobby, was inspiring and made for a fantastic atmosphere.

One thing that occurred that I still think about was Rob’s wife coming out to wave and support Rob as he flew over their house. I saw the love they have for each other exuding from both his wife down on the ground as well as from Rob up in the sky. It was truly inspiring to see that on the day of my proposal and it is something that I hope to experience at his age.

Thank you, Rob, for the incredible experience and truly (and unknowingly) saving my day, proposal, and potential future marriage. You may never know the wave of relief that came over me when you agreed to fly us out that day when I already had the entire proposal planned out.

If we are ever taking a flight on the Cape again, there is no doubt that it will be with Rob and Cape and Vineyard Helicopter Tours.

The air views of cape cod bay are priceless and breathtaking, he even took some photos for us!
