Kayaked the little manatee at the end of January on a beautiful day. The staff at the outpost were very friendly and helpful. The $ to rent out a kayak was very reasonable. They explained in detail about certain landmarks,and where the pickup point is. The river itself is slow moving,shallow in a lot of areas, with a lot of trees down in the water. Found it challenging in some spots to navigate. However the river was very tranquil and peaceful. Saw plenty of turtles and alligators. The alligators were no threat at all. They were just laying in the sun. I definitely recommend this river.

Went for a kayaking trip with my kids. Beautiful! The campground is nice, but we only did a day trip.

This place is amazing! Average price with lots of interesting wildlife! For example there are lots of turtles , alligators and interesting birds too.the staff is also VERY kind and the gift shop is really cheap too.🐊 After all, I strongly reccomend this place.

Yesterday we come here only for the Tour with a canoe. We have taken a canoe for a 6 miles Trip. It was really funny. We saw same gators, birds and turtles. Thanks for the team to pick us up. We had a great day. Nicola und Kai

My boyfriend and I rented a tandem kayak and went on with our little manatee river adventure. We also got to meet, River and Mr. Skittle two very sweet and nice resident cats and a beautiful peacock named Elvis. The staff were so very nice and we had an amazing time kayaking through the river. We saw a lot of wild life, some beautiful birds, small lizards, turtles, fishes and the highlights: manatees swimming under our kayaks and eating grass along the side where almost half their body was out of water! We also saw a gator swimming peacefully along. It was such a wonderful experience! We’re definitely going to come back!

A+ Our friends camped for the weekend and they invited us out for the day! It is absolutely beautiful here! Very clean and well taken care of! We are planning our own trip to stay for our anniversary and I can't wait! It was so relaxing and the views were just gorgeous! We took so many photos of nature alone to show our work colleagues! Having a place so close by that feels like it is in its own “part of the world” and affordable is our new “hidden treasure!” This place is perfect when we need to get away, celebrate, or just need some “chill” time away “from it all!” 🤣
