Camp Liberty is an incredible place, dedicated to the brave men and women who have served our beautiful country. Nestled in north Alabama, this place is a serene and beautiful property surrounded by so much picturesque natural beauty and blue skies.

Their XMC camp is lead by passionate professionals who give their all to the challengers and cadets. The level of professionalism and attention is incredibly high. If you want a lifechanging experience for your child, consider Camp Liberty.

And if you are looking for lodging off the beaten path, check out the cabins and barracks. It’s perfect for reunions, weddings, events, families and sports teams.

My son graduated from the Basic Camp and is now completing two weeks of military police training. The staff are absolutely amazing. The videos are of graduation.

The most caring, professional and friendliest staff I have ever met!! They go above and beyond for its customers and challengers. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful. I totally recommend the facilities and the programs they offer. Especially the Extreme Military Challenge camp. Your teenager will grow, develop and achieve more in this 4-6 week program than they achieve in 4 years of High School. It’s truly amazing how quickly the staff/cadre mentor mold and educate your children to their full potential, bringing out the best they can be in the limited time they are there. Parents who send their teenagers there will not be disappointed. This program is an investment in your child’s future. The Cadet Staff ride is an amazing asset to the program too!

I have had the experience of being on the Camp Liberty property on numerous occasions. The premises are clean and neatly kept. The staff is cordial and friendly and are always accommodating. They really fixed up the Chapel and the Bridal suite simply looks exquisite for bridal parties. Heritage Hall Banquet facility has enough room for a large Wedding party and its guests with an elevated area for a DJ. Independence Hall is a well maintained sleeping facility with beds and bathrooms for guests with a comfortable common area that has a full kitchen and living room where your guests can mingle. With the beautiful setting and facilities it is a perfect location for many different events.

I attended Camp Liberty for the Vets2EMS program and I'm proud of the curriculum put in place. My instructors were amazing and well versed in subject matter. The campus is built similar to an old military installation. It's still being cultivated; building is in progress. Overall, I just wanted to highlight the staff. From the medical professionals teaching; operations and grounds keeping, it's a great place to prepare for your future endeavors.

This locations was booked this past weekend for my sister’s wedding. We thought the location was beautiful and would be worth the price paid. We appreciated that he was prior military and this place prides it’s self on service to our country. Our family is heavily populated with current and former military. We thought this location would be amazing but it WAS NOT. The owner was not consistent and frequently changed the rules, saying he was more than accommodating. He advised that he had previously had a brides mother escorted out, by police, for “nit-picking”, which is what he did the entire wedding. I guess this was to act as a warning to us. The bridal area was very pretty but smelled of sewage that seeped from the bathrooms.

When we arrived to decorate the day before the wedding we realized the reception area was filthy. We had to go buy cleaning products. The groom had to clean the beams and walls of spider webs and bugs. The bathroom was full of fruit flies, knats, spiders, and other bugs. The windows were all so dirty you couldn’t see out of them. The location was definitely left in a better condition than we found it. In a written document he wrote “he takes out the garbage”. We bagged all of the garbage and left it in one location (that he saw when he did the inspection and refunded the entire deposit since we cleaned and followed all the rules); however, the following day the owner sent a picture via text showing that the garbage had been ransacked by animals since HE left it outside all night. He has a dog that roams. This is very unprofessional as some are afraid or allergic to dogs.

Like most weddings, the ceremony started a little late. We rented the location for the entire day so timing was not an issue. 10 minutes after the set start time, the owner went to the groom stated the ceremony was to start at four and is late and then began to tap his watch. At one point, he pulled up a chair and sat directly in the middle of the room and stared at the bridal party as we were getting ready to start the ceremony.

Many of our guest complained to us about feeling extremely uncomfortable with him and his constant hovering. We would not recommend this location for a wedding.

Simply put, this is an amazing facility run by veterans specifically to be a service to the community and through their youth programs, our Nation. The area is gorgeous and cabins rustic with a touch of that old summer feel. Those working at Camp Liberty give their all and really care about their guests. One thing that you notice right away is the military attention to detail and eagerness to help make your visit memorable and fun. I happened to be there when the Camp was purchased and the sheer amount of renovation and new construction was amazing. Such a small but, dedicated crew that put forth astounding effort daily. The best part of Camp Liberty is that it is not some gimmick, groupon, tourist trap. It is a place run by veterans who want to give back to our Nation and help people build amazing memories. You would do well to talk to the staff there and see just how awesome your event could be there.
