Went for the Wednesday Cocktails at The View. It's was a fantastic time with a great view. A table was reserved for $25, but it got a better and closer view. I'd highly recommend this for a fun and enjoyable date night. Drinks are about $10. Just your average selection, but be sure to reserve food the day before if you want food.
Overall, it was a great time and a memorable date night.

We photographed a wedding here just a few weeks ago. One of the most gorgeous venues in the area. The entire staff were extremely helpful throughout the day, which made everything flow so smoothly. Can't wait to be back!

Burritt on the Mountain is a great spot in Huntsville that is filled with a ton of history. At this venue there are many events trails, historical points and scenic overlooks.

Due to its location, it is often missed by people who call the Huntsville area home. Be sure to add it to your trip if you are from out of town or to your weekend plans if you’re a local.

Visited here on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 while camping at nearby Monte Sano State Park. It's a deceased wealthy medical doctor's mansion that was custom-designed and built back by him in the early 1920s, and also one of the first homes in the Huntsville area to have electric wiring installed during its construction. Inside, there is some, but it's a bit sparse, so it does not take too long to walk around and see it. Outside, on the mansion's grounds (about 2 acres in total), there is a beautiful view of the city of Huntsville's old downtown area, located a few miles west of and a thousand feet below the cliff line. Additionally, on the north side of the property, there are a few old farm buildings and cabins and a petting zoo with goats, donkeys, burros, and chickens as well as an old school house that was built for African Americans during the days of segregation. Admission was only like $5 each so it's a great place to take children. Definitely pay this place visit if you are going to be in the Huntsville metro area for business or pleasure and you've got about 2 hours to spare. On the afternoon we visited, the staff were setting up a full bar under a canopy out on the grounds, and a bunch of round tables for a sunset cocktail fundraiser. We couldn't stay for that, but would have liked to.

Wonderful place. A great view of Huntsville. One can easily see a rocket at the space center. All the staff we interacted with were so helpful..... especially Russ in the main house.

The view was amazing overlooking Huntsville. Was doing a self tour but started talking to a tour guide named Paul and a volunteer Nancy who turned the afternoon into such a remarkable and blessed visit. Highly recommend this place to go for anyone single, couples or families. The hands on experiences kids can receive and participate with each cabin was very impressive I will come back the next time I’m in AL.
