Stopped in for lunch. Greeter/hostess was very friendly. We were promptly seated. Tables were beautiful hard wood and wooden barrels as bases. Lots of wood decor. Seating was a bit crowded.

Pretzel appetizer with beer cheese was great . Pot pie was tasty but sadly had no side. It should come with something for the price charged. My husband ate some of my daughter’s fries as he needed something. Burger and fries were good. Mac & cheese had good flavor but was a bit thin/ watery. It definitely needed a thicker cheese or thickening agent.

Drinks were pretty and made correctly.

A little shy on spices for my taste but the quality well prepared ingredients carried the flavor. Bull run was a wonderful rustic experience, with a lovely covered bridge, truly a multi functional center. Looking forward to the Easter and Mother's Day buffet.

We went for the music, but ate dinner before the show. There’s many separate areas at this incredible venue. Our neighbors said everything on the menu is good. We split a delicious Rueben sandwich with an equally delicious salad! Awesome place to hear live music.

Great food. Nice atmosphere but tight around the tables. As long as you're good with being right next to the table next to you, then you'll be fine.

The Bull Run is becoming my new "go to" place. Last night, my wife, son, and I enjoyed a corned beef and cabbage dinner, a Reuben and onion rings, and the seafood scampi. All were superb! Last week it was a homemade Chicken Pot Pie and a 10" pizza which was excellent! When I asked for blue cheese stuffed olives, the bartender said, "I can make that happen." He proceeded to make them by hand. That's great service.

The whole place has that historic quaintness but with excellent modern service. (Actually, maybe that's old-fashioned, too.) We like sitting at or in the bar area. It's lively but not loud.

Oh, and the concerts! Sign up for the newsletter to get early dibs on tickets. The concert area is typically set up as tables of 8 for pre-show dinner, and the venue seats about 300 total. We've seen great talent there, including Patterson Hood of the Drive-By Truckers, Alejandro Escovedo, Richard Thompson, and comedian, Jimmy Tingle.

What a wonderful spot to grab a meal. We had about a 20 minute wait because we did not have a reservation but it went by quick. The restaurant is a bit on the rustic side but it had a ton of charm. While we waited for our meal we were serenaded by a gentleman playing the piano. For our meals I had the small prime rib served with mashed butternut squash and my girlfriend had the turkey dinner. The prime rib was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. We absolutely loved this place.

The bull run is an absolutely fantastic restaurant. There is a reason why it’s been in business for decades! Everything on the menu is absolutely fantastic. The service is incredible. These guys know how to host huge parties, events and provide an intimate setting for couples and families. These guys run a restaurant like clockwork. We are super lucky it’s right up the street. If you don’t give this restaurant at least 4 stars then there is something wrong with you.

I had a wonderful evening at The Bull Run in Shirley. The piano player added a fun, calming touch to the atmosphere, and the service was excellent. Their gluten-free options, along with the ability to adjust recipes due to the scratch kitchen, made dining easy, and I appreciated their understanding of cross-contamination risks.

As a post-bariatric surgery patient dining with my elderly grandmother, I was especially grateful for their half-portion options. It’s rare to find portions that fit our needs, so this was a welcome change. The highlight was the gluten-free lava cake—a rare and delicious find. Looking forward to returning!
