My wife and I did a 4 mile canoe trip down the Buffalo river. The trip started out amazing, but about an hour into our trip down stream, we got caught in a severe thunderstorm. With nowhere to shelter from the rain and lightning, we flipped our canoe over on a sand bar and sat underneath it for about an hour. When the rain let up we continued down river to our stopping point. Even though the storm caught us by surprise, we had a fantastic time on the river. The staff at Buffalo Camping and Canoeing were very accommodating, and made our trip worth every penny. I would highly recommend using Buffalo Camping and Canoeing for your outdoor canoeing experience. The water was crystal clear, the sites are amazing along the river, and the wildlife is abundant. My wife really enjoyed seeing all the fish swimming along side our canoe. We had a truly memorable experience and can't wait to return.

This is always the favorite part of our trip! We rent the canoes from them every time, great store and gift shop, the shuttle drivers are always friendly and cool guys! They take you to the canoes and you get dropped right back off at the store.

Had a great time on the Buffalo River on a recent Boy Scout float and camping trip and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing help and service of Buffalo Camping and Canoeing. Betty and everyone on staff there were great, friendly and super helpful.

It's an nice campground, they pick up trash daily. The only real draw back is that it's so far from the river, you don't want yo walk it. That said we had a great time.

The people who own this establishment are always super friendly and outgoing, and so are the ladies and gents who work here! They have good food during the summer and the general store is so adorable. They also have private parking across from their store, so you don’t have to worry about someone messing with your vehicle while you float, and they offer shuttle services which doesn’t include someone else driving your personal vehicle. If you are looking for a place to start your family-friendly Buffalo adventure, this is the place you want to go with!

We've used their shuttle services for years. The staff is always super helpful and friendly and our vehicle has always been safe and secure upon our return. Highly recommend giving them a call if you plan to float or camp on the Buffalo NR!

The General Store is a cool place to checkout also!

We took the 6 mile float. Many fun places to stop and explore along the way. On the day we went, the water level on the river was low, and at two points we needed to drag our kayaks a short distance. Overall we had a ton of fun.
