Honestly this place is greatly overlooked, the entire Edward L Ryerson Conservation Area is wonderful. The trails are great, they have sheep and chickens at the farm, rehab fowl, a great welcome center and the Brushwood Center! For a relatively small area it is pack with a variety of things. Go, you, and the kids, will love it!

We came to a whole group of amazing professionals singing in the grassy area near the center. It was absolutely lovely, and afterwards we went on a beautiful hike.

Great place to hike. They have a class on how they make maple syrup. You get to walk out to the trees and see it from start to finish. Classes are only in February and March. They have a nice education center.

Brushwood is a true asset to the Lake County Community. Their environmental conservation programs help maintain our many green spaces in the area, while events for families and veterans give back to our community. But my favorite have to be their Mothers Day and Christmas art fairs, since they bring together tons of talent for a great cause!
