Im so glad I found this park, its a easy walk. I try to go as many time as possible. There is parking and a center with bathrooms. You can bring your pet. Theres a beautiful lake. Theres usually a lot of people on the trail so youre not alone. Check closing hours based on the month. I like it, i find that the more i walk, my weight just melts off. Definitely give it a try. Very safe.

Perfect place for a quick walk or a day long excursion. All trails are well maintained and there’s something for every person, whether outdoorsman or accommodating a stroller/wheelchair/walker. $5 to park is well worth how beautiful the entire place is

Very popular state park. Parking is 5 bucks per vehicle. You can buy season parking passes online.
Dog friendly park, but need to be on a leash. There are plenty of trails. Definitely wear comfortable sneakers or hiking boots.
Great view of the pond.
You can have a picnic there or even grill your food. Provided you bring gas propane grill. No charcoal grill allows. I highly recommend coming here for a hike.

This place is such an amazing place to just adventure around. So many walking trails through the sprawling Forrest. Great place to walk your dogs and play fetch in the open fields. What a treat during the peak foliage!

This is our favorite state park. You can easily mix and match trails to tailor your hike to your liking. We bring our dog on hikes and really enjoy how easy it is to navigate the trails. The mansion is a must-see, so keep your eyes open for interpreter-led tours. No dogs allowed inside the mansion, but the rest of the grounds are fair game for leashed pups.

This park has great programming for kids and families, so it's worth checking out the calendar of events.

Excellent state park with everything one may want: trails through forest, marshland, pond, grand estate, disk golf...what else do you need? Only drawback is it is open until 6 PM only (at least during April timeframe)
