We’ve had a really good time and Desmond is the nicest person we ever met! We had a really long way to get to the meeting point and unfortunately we were a little late. We communicated over text messages and Desmond was really patient with us. We really do appreciate that!

On the hunting side we got everything we needed to start fossil hunting like shovels etc. Desmond explained everything very clearly and was always very helpful and ambitious making sure we had a great time.

You need to bring your own umbrellas for shade, chairs, drinks and snacks. It’s also important to bring sunscreen and appropriate clothing as well as shoes. I’d recommend water shoes.

It was a unique experience and we are really happy we decided to do this. It’s definitely worth a visit. We found a ton of small teeth and a big one. We also found some interesting bones. Desmond also provided us a lot of information about those.

I see that it’s a lot of effort for the owner to provide a great experience and that maintenance is also needed.
Nevertheless, for us personally, it’s a bit pricey (220$/Person) so we won’t come back. Which doesn’t mean that it’s not worth the money!

Great experience! Found a couple hundred teeth at least and the owners were very friendly. They gave us as many scoops of material as we could go through and we got the megalodon we were looking for. Definitely going to make this an every year trip.

I’ve been to Bone Valley Fossil Farm a couple times and cannot recommend it enough! Chris and Desmond are so nice and very knowledgeable. They give you great tips and tricks to sort through the matrix to give you the best shot at finding the best teeth! Unfortunately, you’re not guaranteed to find a megalodon tooth, but you will find lots of great fossils and shark teeth!

Bone Valley Fossil Farms Review

As experienced land hunters, we were blown away by our visit to Bone Valley Fossil Farms! We found an incredible 3.5” pristine megalodon tooth, five intact megs, and about 200 smaller teeth. The thrill of discovery was alive, but the expert support from Chris, Desmond, and their team took it to the next level. They ensured we had everything we needed and helped identify our finds, making the experience seamless and exciting.

This hunt perfectly combines the magic of an independent search with increased odds of big finds. It’s worth every penny, and we’ll definitely be back!

terrible experience, they "salt" the piles you sort through by occasionally throwing a small tooth into your pile before its dumped from the tractor. Total scam beware!!

If you are an OCD shell-hunter you will LOVE this dig for megalodon shark teeth! Desmond and his staff are so helpful! Chris was a literal expert in identifying your finds. I highly recommend bringing sun screen, shade tent, reef shoes, a bucket and bug spray…plus the obvious water/ food, etc. They did have picnic tables in the shade which was nice. Some families came with small children, which was fine by me. But it is hot and a long day…so unless they really okay with those things you’ll probably have a more enjoyable time if you leave the kids at home!

My family of 4 traveled from Maryland as part of our vacation to visit the fossil farm. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The day flew by and before we knew it, it was time to pack up. We found several nice megs along with many fragments and other smaller teeth. We can't wait to return next time we visit the area. Highly recommend!
