Awesome people! I did my PPL here a little while ago and this is a great place to learn how to fly. In my experience here all of the instructors have been nice and knowledgeable! Instructors, dispatch and everyone else has been amazing! (Especially Adam, Amy, and Natalie) I fully recommend Blue Skies!

Incredible service with a smile. Truly some of the most friendly skies on the ground. they have a wide array of services reasonable prices and knowledgeable instructors. I took my FAA part 107 exam here and was treated very well. The inside of the shop is very well kept. Truly a great airport and not a bad place to be! happy flying!

Did my private here and I have never felt more of a sense of belonging. Instructors are great, aircraft are very well maintained, and I feel cared about personally here. My testing center experience was very smooth as well.

I spent a semester continuing my flight training at an accredited big name university just to find out that Blue Skies is simply the best training I would find. This place has been such a positive experience in my life that I even felt a great sense of homesickness towards Blue Skies while I was flying at another school. When AOPA names Blue Skies as best in the nation, as well as Mike B as the best instructor in the nation, they are completely right. It will be an honor doing the rest of my ratings here.

I really miss this place!
This had to be one of the absolute best Flight Schools I had ever been to! I highly, highly recommend them!
Unfortunately for me, I had to cancel my schooling due to medical reasons. But, after having been to a number of Flight Schools in the Chicago Metropolitan area, I have to say Blue Skies is one of the best!
And, if you are lucky enough to get Coleen for your instructor, even better! Coleen is extremely knowledgeable, and teaches like none other... Her instruction is simple, but very, very effective.
So... Listen to me! Go to Blue Skies! And, get your instruction from Coleen!!!

I called Blue Skies to take the Part 107 sUAV exam and requested to take the exam on the same day. What I got from the young woman on the phone was "I have to leave at 1:00 pm." Strike One. That sent the tone for a downward spiraling conversation. Being about 10:30 am, I told her that I wouldn't keep her past 1:00 PM. Next, in order of getting out of giving the exam, she tells me that the computer is now broke! "I cant give the test." Strike Two! Now, I'm getting a tad flustered with this individual who clearly doesn't want to assist me in anyway.

If you can't give the exam, just say so up front!! I've been flying for over 30 years, I get it, stuff happens, just don't jerk me around with halfhearted excuses.

I then get a call back from the manager. Instead of asking what happened, how can we make this straight? He instead sided with his employee (admirable, but misplaced in this case) and "invited me to test elsewhere." I did just that!

I took my sUAV Test at AVEL Flight School at DuPage airport, here is how I was treated there:

Ms Lauren Taylor, who serves as the FAA Exam Proctor is excellent. I found her to be highly efficient, and incredibly helpful. After an extremely frustrating experience with Blue Skies, at Lake-in-the-Hills Airport, in trying to take the Part 107 Aviation Exam for sUAVs, Ms. Taylor not only took me on the same day for testing, but walked me through the entire CATS process. She coordinated with the CATS personnel real time-on the phone-so that I could immediately take my test the same day! She then set me up with all testing requirements, materials, computer and within an hour I had passed my exam. She is a wonder!

I will send all my aviation friends, both military and civilian to use your facility for all testing matters or aviation needs.

THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE! Take your testing requirements or aviation needs there! You'll be treated right.
