My boyfriend and I had the most amazing time on the climbing tour with Bob. We could tell how much he loves climbing and guiding from start to finish. He shared so much fun knowledge about the area, the resort, and his climbing experience. We are recreational indoor climbers and Bob did a great job personalizing the climbing to our skill level. I think he’d be fantastic at adapting the activity to any amount of prior experience. This was our first outdoor top rope climb and he helped us feel very comfortable on the ropes. After a scenic scramble to the base of the climb, we got in our harnesses and got acquainted with the practice boulder before each doing several different routes up the wall. The views were beautiful and we even spotted a great horned owl at the top! Thank you so much Bob for the great belaying and conversation. I think it’s safe to say we’ve caught the bug for outdoor climbing after this wonderful experience!

Wow, this was quite the experience. We had an awesome afternoon of climbing with Black Mountain Adventures at the Boulders Resort and Spa. It was a super memorable experience in a beautifully unique setting. We actually have some outdoor climbing experience and have climbed with other guiding services, but these guides were top notch. Bob and Charlie were very professional and kept everyone feeling comfortable and safe. Just an all around great day outside. We will certainly be returning!

Fantastic experience with Bob leading us on a night time bike ride through the Boulders Resort. His knowledge and pride of the area made for an educational and fun ride. Added bonus was the hot air balloon for an event at the resort, which made for a beautiful background. Communication with Rico prior to our ride was terrific. Highly recommend! Thanks Bob and Rico!

Our climbing guides at Black Mountain Adventures (Bob and Sail) were very experienced, had tons of helpful tips for our novice and intermediate climbers. Most remarkable was their pleasant demeanor and they made the whole climbing experience so much fun. I highly recommend this crew on your next company or family outing.

Had a fantastic afternoon of rock climbing guided by Bob, who was very knowledgeable and a great teacher. By learning some fundamentals and basics early on in the session, was able to take on routes that looked very daunting! Highly recommend. A great way to enjoy the natural beauty of the Arizona desert.
