We stayed for two nights for our visit to Big Bend National Park. This was our first visit to the area and Big Bend Station was a good choice for us. The host was very nice and helpful with restaurant recommendations. The room was spacious and clean with adequate Wi-Fi. There were a few choices to eat very close to the motel but most were located 10-15 minutes away in the ghost town area of Terlingua. A very interesting town for sure with lots of history. The drive to the park is not bad depending on which area you are visiting. Overall Big Bend Station worked for us.

We stayed at Big Bend Station for three nights while visiting Big Bend National Park. The room was decorated in a trendy/artsy Southwestern motif that was attractive and welcoming. The room wasnโ€™t large, but plenty big enough for the two of us, especially since we were at the Park all day every day. The bathroom was sufficient and there was plenty of hot water.|The location is GREAT - thirty minutes from the National Park, and 10 minutes or so away from a number of very good local restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was super quiet every night. I highly recommend this lodging, especially for Big Bend National Park visitors. The location canโ€™t be beat!

RV campgrounds review; not the hotel. RV campground was in a great location with quick and easy access to Big Bend and Terlingua. Very few amenities, but it provided water and electricity, which was key with daytime temps in the 90s. Quiet and dark skies for star viewing. A few of the RV spots have small trees for shade. Unfortunately, management would not let us move to an open shaded spot when we checked in as they said we were already assigned to a spot.

Men's restroom in the main building ok. Same for women's except 1 of the 2 showers out of order and floor in 2nd stall had a lot of sand and hair in the evening from customer use.

NOTE: As of March 2025, the laundry facilities were closed due to water usage. The closest available was Rio Grande Village in Big Bend or Fort Davis.

Overall, we would stay here again.

I think this hotel is very standard for a national park-adjacent hotel. Price seemed fair, staff were all very friendly, and the renovations the hotel has done definitely seem to have significantly improved the rooms. We loved the close proximity to Big Bend National Park and the food options in the Terlingua area. A few small things we noticed (none were dealbreakers for us): the floor was very creaky, the beds were on the firmer side, and the room renovations didn't seem to extend to the bathroom. Room was clean though and we loved our stay. Also loved that the hotel contributes to the dark sky environment by using red / pink exterior lighting. Exactly (price included) what we were looking for.

I was in Big Bend for a camping trip for several days. Last minute I tried to book one night at Chisos Mountian lodge since they are closing down soon and I thought a shower would be nice after 3 days in the backcountry. No rooms available but I got a call from NPS booking who offered a room at Big Bend Station. I accepted without doing any research so that's on me. One night $169. I got there and the staff was friendly but I could tell it the place was slightly run down. When I got into the room it was worse than expected. I'm ok with rundown but not dirty. There was trash left on the floor in the bathroom, hair on the toilet and bath, and the refrigerator was suoer dirty. Positives are the shower was warm and the AC was cold .

We rented the duplex unit for four nights and would highly recommend it. Very spacious and clean. Looked recently updated. Cutely decorated. Staff was very friendly. I did recommend that they add curtains to the windows and a few more items for cooking, such as pot holders, a cutting board, and a toaster. It was a five minute drive to BB and close drive to many restaurants. There was no housekeeping so we had to go get fresh towels from the front desk and borrow a broom/dustpan (which I also recommended they add to room). We would stay here again.

I unfortunately have to agree with Henry B (Dec 2024 review), this is a pointed form over function example. The rooms are lovely to look at and I am guessing the locals were supported with the lovely painted wall art; beautiful, bright pictures and pillows, the accent furnishings that look pretty, but are not practical for use. With this accommodation so close to a Magnificent National Park it has a HUGH opportunity and should be full every night with the comparative pricing of other options farther away that cost more. The staff were wonderful!!!!! The location was accessible. The atmosphere pleasant. BUT, the comfort might be better on a mat under the stars....& they were MAGNIFICENT.... Being blessed with a fair amount of travel in my life, a good nights sleep is greatly seeked to enjoy the trip. Folks, invest in some decent mattresses! Understandably, this is a large expense, however, the gains should pay out in short order. Even mattress pads would help make the beds a bit more comfortable. Comfort and Costs keep Customers!

We stayed in an RV 50 amp site. The only issue at all was when we first plugged in the voltage on one leg dropped and the power shut off. I reset the breakers and everything was fine for the 5 days we stayed. The breakers were the issue and they offered replace them but we didnโ€™t while there. Great location and great people.
