I absolutely love going camping because it gives me a chance to reconnect with nature and escape the chaos of daily life. Amazing! We only had half a day at Big Bend as we were in town for another adventure, so we did the Elena Canyon hike and it was stunning! Definitely worth the hike. Take plenty of water no matter the time of year - The trail is moderate and hydration is key! It's cooler down at the end of the canyon than on the hike. We saw wild horses grazing by the Rio Grande River which was a treat. The drive in was lovely with stunning panoramic mountain views and abundant vegetation.

It was a very beautiful national park, it has its own mountain range which creates its own green valleys and dry ridges. We visited the famous Rio grande river which is the international border between Mexico and the USA. I would visit the river close to the entrance not the village site. Chiosos lodge is great, don’t miss the window trail.

This is a huge park with plenty of different things to see. From the desert to the green river areas, there’s unique things to see. Our favorite thing to venture out and see was Santa Elena. Go earlier in the morning to beat the crowd and hike all the way back to where the trail ends at the river. Some great views!

One of the most stunning national parks we've been to. The vast landscape and mountains are beautiful! I love how remote it is. There were times when no one else was around! Amazing!!

Underrated national park! Mountains, desert, and river all in once, Hike to Emory Peak was immaculate. Great views everywhere and plenty of activities for extreme outdoor enthusiasts and families with small children alike!

Big Bend National Park is truly one of the best national parks in the country. I'm six hours away, and I would come more if they had more camping spots available that get snatched up fast. The park is beautiful and huge. It will take several visits to experience the true beauty and vastness of this park.
