We stayed here only for the casita and it was amazing. 400 sq ft, king bed, wonderful bath and shower area, wonderful kitchenette (no cooking allowed other than microwave). Sink, counter and a Mr Coffee with filters. Also nice couch with rollaway. Despite all the outdoor recreation they offer, it was quiet. Pool and hot tub basic but with windy weather didn’t get to use.|I gave 4 bullets rather than 5 only because the wifi was poor. We are big wifi users in our downtime and it didn’t work most of the time so we used lte. Five bullets otherwise and these folks impressed me so much I would recommend their outdoor adventures sight unseen. Highly recommend but don’t plan on wifi.|People that run it are super.

This place far exceeded what I was expecting. We stayed in Casita 25 and though it was closer to the pool and things going on it wasn’t loud at all. We enjoyed the little touches like the fire pit turned on at night, the low lighting for star watching, clean premises, being able to star watch from the hot tub until 10p, the outdoor activities such as Jenna/footballs/horseshoes. We didn’t get to do any of the paid activities because we have a 2 year old, but hopefully when he’s older!

Spent three nights at the Big Bend Casitas at Far Flung and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Casita was spotless and very well appointed. ||The kitchen was spacious with ample counter space and good quality cookware, glassware, and tableware. The fridge is larger than the typical hotel sized and a toaster, microwave, and coffee are provided. The kitchen table was good size with nice chairs. There are also very nice grill facilities provided in the courtyard for guest use.||The bed was very comfortable with hotel quality linens and plenty of pillows. The couch was clean and comfortable with a good sized sturdy coffee table.||The bathroom is large and clean, with plentiful high quality towels and bath amenities. Counter space is pretty limited, so additional wall shelving would be a suggestion. The provision of additional pool specific towels was appreciated as well!||The porch furniture is high quality composite material and a very comfortable place to watch the sunrise or take in the stars. This is a rural location and, after severe storms came through, the power went out but the facility’s large generator kicked on and restored all power (and air conditioning in the 100 degree heat) without a hitch.||The facility has a lovely pool with very nice loungers and a shaded pergola area. The landscaping throughout is beautiful and well-maintained and there is a great fire pit and outdoor games area. The coffee shop out front has a great variety of food and beverage offerings for a great breakfast.||All the staff we encountered were so friendly, always inquiring about our stay and whether we need anything. Clearly much thought went into making the guests feel welcome and spoiled (they blew away the luxury hotel we stayed at earlier in the trip in this regard)! ||This goes for their adventure offerings too as we had an amazing Jeep tour with Chris, whose excursion was the highlight of our two week trip around the State because he was such a fun and interesting person to spend the day with!||The attention to every detail was impressive and well appreciated-would highly recommend Far Flung without hesitation!! Thank you for an excellent experience!

The rooms were attractive, very clean and stocked w/ everything we needed. The porch was where we spent our evenings and met neighbors in surrounding cabins. There were no shared walls, and we took advantage of the Coffee Bar and a 1/2 day paddle. We’ll be recommending Far Flung.

I highly recommend staying at Big Bend Casitas at Far Flung Outdoor Center! After spending all day out hiking and exploring it was so nice to come back to our clean and comfortable casita. You can tell they have thought through what you would need while being away from home. The attention to detail was so impressive and appreciated. Everything looked/felt brand new and you could tell they care about their property (beautiful and clean grounds, great amenities like the pool, hot tub, ice makers, yard games, sitting areas, etc). The coffee shop on the property was such a nice perk each morning before we left for our next adventure. We did not have an opportunity to do one of their tours, but if we had it would have been so convenient. You just walk out of your front door, cross the parking lot, and are at the meeting spot! The location of the Casitas at Far Flung Outdoor Center is amazing too. You are so close to resultants, the road to Big Bend National Park, the gas station, etc. One night it was so windy/rainy and we were thankful we were warm, dry, and safe in the sturdy casitas. If you are thinking about where to stay, definitely stay here!

Just returned from a long weekend at Big Bend. Hands down, some of the most incredible bedding...rivals the best high end hotels. Spacious bathroom, nice hot water for showers. Kitchenette is stocked with the basics and the town general grocery store is just a 4 min drive so you can buy supplies to make sandwiches for your hikes, etc. A quaint little walk-up coffee shop is open at 7am with great coffee and bf items. Was a little chilly for the pool, but we enjoyed the jacuzzi which was nicely heated and with great views of the sunset and mountains. Was 40 min from Big Bend National park, 2 min from horse stables where we signed up for a sunset tour, and there are multiple types of exursions to rent on sight. We did the Far Flung canoe canyon tour which was fantastic...and the drive to and fro was absolutely breathtaking. Top notch friendly service all around... from check-in, to tour guides, to the coffee shop staff. I could go on and on...we will be back!!!

Loved staying in the Studio, it was near the pool which was perfect after exploring the Park on my Jeep tour. Very comfortable and clean. Owners and staff are super friendly and had lots of good suggestions for things to do. ||Coffee shop was delicious and so convenient. ||My jeep tour to the state park was a lot of fun and Chris made the trip interesting and took good care of us in the desert. ||I highly recommend Far Flung

We stayed in Casita 12. It clean, spacious, and very comfortable with all the amenities needed - including a well equiped kitchen. We stayed at Far Flung after staying at two other places in the area, one in Marfa, the other in Marathon. Far Flung far surpassed the other places we stayed.|With porches, a fire pit and a small pool, and the availability to book a variety of trips in the park, I can't imagine a better place to stay in the area. They even have really good coffee. If I return to Big Bend (an amazing park!), I'd definitely stay here. My only regret is that we didn't stay here all three nights we were in the area.
