If you're searching for a delightful blend of history, culture, and mouth-watering cuisine, look no further than the Bienville Bites Food Tour in downtown Mobile! Our family – my husband, two kids, and I – recently embarked on this culinary journey, accompanied by two charming couples from the Mobile area. What an unforgettable experience it was!

Our tour guide Cynthia was an absolute gem. Her fun, knowledgeable, and caring demeanor made the tour not only informative but also incredibly enjoyable. Her passion for Mobile shone through as she shared fascinating stories about the city's rich history and vibrant culture. She seamlessly blended humor with historical facts, keeping us entertained and engaged throughout the tour.

The tour was a delightful mix of delectable food, refreshing drinks, and captivating company. We kicked off our culinary adventure at The Red Slipper Cafe, where the southern charm was as palpable as the delicious bites we savored. Next, we indulged in the creative culinary offerings at Squid Ink Eats and Drinks, followed by a nostalgic stop at A&M Peanut Shop, where the roasted peanuts transported us back in time. No visit to Mobile would be complete without sampling the seafood, and Wintzell's Oyster House did not disappoint. The oysters were a highlight, fresh and flavorful, leaving us craving more. We then enjoyed some hearty Southern barbecue at Moe's Original Bar-B-Que, which was a hit with everyone, especially our kids. Our tour wrapped up with a sweet treat at Mo'Bay Beignet Co. – the perfect ending to a perfect day.

But the tour wasn't just about food. We also marveled at the beautiful architecture of downtown Mobile, including a stop at the stunning Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa. Cynthia shared intriguing tales about the hotel's history, adding a layer of depth to our experience. We also made our rounds to Cathedral Square and the Cathedral-Basilica, where we soaked in the serene beauty and learned about the rich cultural heritage of the area. Cynthia’s storytelling brought these landmarks to life, making us appreciate the city even more.

If you're looking for a good time, to meet new people, taste the local flavors, and learn about the history and culture of Downtown Mobile, this is a MUST do, and I highly recommend it!!

We did the tour today, 7 stops along with hearing history of Mobile and the buildings. Both tour guides were great, food portions are great and well worth the cost. We enjoyed this very much and will likely try another food tour! All around great experience from restaurants visited to the group experience!

Our tour guide Lee was wonderful. So patient with our 11 month old. The tour itself is very well done, as a matter of fact this was our 3rd time doing the tour. Food is fantastic, we always enjoy learning new historical facts about the city and it’s a nice way to see downtown Mobile. 10/10 would recommend.

What a delight! We enjoyed a lovely Saturday afternoon learning more about Mobile, exploring by the city, and tasting some delicious cuisine. Our guide, Cynthia, was a joy. I think she knows everyone in Mobile. So many people greeted her on the streets as we walked, and she was obviously beloved by all.

We’ve spent a lot of time on The Eastern Shore, but decided to stay in and explore downtown Mobile on this trip. The food tour is a great way to do get acquainted with Mobile. We had great food and snacks at several iconic Mobile restaurants and learned some of the history while walking the streets. Marissa was a great host and guide!

LoDa Stroll: This was one of the most exciting things my husband and I have done together in Mobile. We loved exploring the city and learning about it's history while getting to know some of the locals and the best places to eat.
Chris was an amazing guide. He is very knowledgeable and personable. The price is very fair, and we would have been willing to pay more for this great experience.
I think we will definitely do this again, and maybe consider some of the other tours as well.
