Highly recommend a trip to Berning Acres! The property is amazing and Natalie was a fantastic tour guide. Super knowledgeable on the dairy farming business but also very accommodating of our group. We brought our 2 year old and a baby in the stroller plus visited off season so she worked with us personally to schedule. We had the chance to feed the baby cows, participate in the milking process and play with other baby animal living on the farm (sheep & goats!). Ice cream at the end of the tour was a highlight as well!

I can't say enough great things about this farm. It is definitely a must see and do for all ages when visiting the Galena area. The farm has a program for grade schools where the students adopt a calf and are provided information monthly about it's growth and development. Our grandson wanted to see his calf in person while on spring break. Natalie and her husband are now running the farm and take you on an amazing tour of the operation. We fed the several week old calves, milked a dairy cow, met Vada our grandson's class cow and amazingly witnessed the birth of a calf. We learned so much about running the farm during this trip thanks to the Berning family. We absolutely loved our time on the farm and will be back with the rest of our grandkids next year.

We visited the farm yesterday and all enjoyed it! Natalie was such a fun tour guide and my girls loved her. Feeding the babies was so much fun! We highly recommend you come check them out! We will be back for sure.

Our tour of Berning Acres was not only informative and educational, but also great fun! We have visited other dairy farms in the past, and Natalie and her family made this the best experience we have had, thus far. Visitors get learn about the process, full circle—from pregnant mamas to milking. Our tour included only one other family, so we were able to ask lots of questions to get a better understanding of the immense dedication and hard work that goes into farming—which is so important for city-raised kids to learn. Plus we got to feed babies, try milking, and hang out with Natalie's kids' menagerie of 4H goats, chickens, ducks, horses, and pigs. Highly recommend!

My wife and I did the evening "beers and curds" tour. What a wonderful education of how a dairy farm works. Wonderful people that took a ton of time answering all the questions we had. Great interacting with the animals, and my wife got to milk a cow! We'll be back when we're in the area again.

OMG!!!! What an incredible experience at Berning Acres Farm with Matt, Natalie and all the family! It brought back memories of visiting my grandparents on Linden Farm in Virginia! Its a great educational experience of modern day dairy farming! You will enjoying visiting and feeding new born calves, milking a cow, the birthing barn, goats, sheep, pigs and the hen house and more! The charcuterie board and beverages are a bonus!! Make sure you buy a t-shirt and/or some cheese to take home!! American Farms…❤️❤️❤️

What a great experience visiting this working dairy farm! Berning Acres is a great place to take a group. Natalie & Matt taught us what is involved in running a dairy farm and let us experience feeding the calves and milking a cow. Then had a wonderful charcuterie snack for us to try some of the cheeses that are made with the milk. Highly recommend!
