It is closed until May but the 3 greenhouses we saw were cool and had a variety of plants in there. Hopefully we can come back in the summer. They said they were building a new big greenhouse and then will be able to stay open year round.

Great walking paths outside in a beautiful garden setting. Such a huge variety of plants in many different settings.
Great place to get ideas about what we can grow in New England.
We just missed a great exhibition of bird photos and paintings that have gone extinct due to various reasons but mostly our fault. The exhibit was gone but they left up the cards describing the sad deaths of the species. Various statues of some of the birds will remain in the gardens for winter I was told. The Carolina parakeet and passenger pigeons stories were particularly saddening.

Berkshire Botanical Gardens is easily one of the most beautiful places in the Berkshires. The gardens are laid out over a 24-acre property. There are dozens of gardens to explore. It is easy to access and walk through.
Some of the best gardens are the Vista Garden, Rock Garden, Rose Garden, and Pond Garden. They also have a vibrant Wildflower Meadow. There is also a small but nice walk through the woods. Located throughout the gardens you will find statues of extinct birds that used to inhabit North America. The "Lost Bird Project" nice touch to the area. There is also a small indoor museum called the Center House, which displays artwork and has more information on the bird sculptures.
The staff was friendly and helpful. It is easy to purchase a ticket there. Depending on what you like, plan on about two hours here. It is very close to downtown Stockbridge. Give this place a look, you won’t forget it.

We always enjoy coming here and taking a walk around, sculptures are always enjoyable. It can get a bit windy here due to the openness of it but layering helps. The kids garden is fun and my daughter's favorite is the chicken.

Particularly enjoyed the topiary garden and the sculptures and explanations of lost birds. Rose garden was also nice despite being past its prime as was the herb garden. Opportunity to picnic as long as you take all trash with you

What a beautiful place to visit. The gardens and greenhouses are just full of amazing flowers and foliage. They had a caterpillar lab where you could see many different species of caterpillars up close. They also had a visiting artist showcasing their sculptures. The admission is $18, but if you have a Massachusetts ebt card you and 4 people can get in for free. Definitely give it a visit. We drove 50 minutes to get there and it was well worth the trip.

Free botanical garden on both side of the road. The outside garden was very nice, but greenhouse is just normal, I feel like more for education purposes than for visitors. The gallery looks very nice and environment makes me feel comfortable. Gift shop is just regular, nothing very special.

A great place to explore and wander. You can easily spend a couple hours or the whole day just enjoying the gardens. So much to see - herbs, perennials, topiaries, fruit trees and plenty of paths and vistas. We took advantage of one of the nicely shaded picnic tables for the lunch we brought. Very limited snacks and drinks available in the gift shop.
