My husband surprised me with a 2 hour trail ride for my birthday. It could not have been more perfect. The weather was *chefs kiss* and the horses were phenomenal. I was immediately drawn to Journey and was thrilled Candice paired me with her. I felt like I was in great hands. A storm must have knocked over a few trees across the trail we were on and all of us had to take the horses off road. It was a testament to the hours, love, and trust that these horses performed flawlessly despite the thick brush they had to barrel through to get back to the trail. The real treat (cherry on top of cherry at this point) was watching Nakoda and Candice work together like peanut butter and jelly removing obstacles off the path. It shone how well connected they were as a team. Candice is incredible with horses and people alike. By far best ride experience around here. I will def be back for more and take lessons with them. I have been out on trail rides many times with this business through beautiful Blackwater Forest. The owner and her horses are so sweet. Oftentimes there are wildlife sitings, and the horses have the most interesting stories. You will remember each time for a long time to come. If you're looking for making a new memory, I highly recommend.

Absolutely recommend Candice. I went riding on Forest, Candice's horse. Loved the experience it was absolutely fantastic. Candice (the trail guide) is very polite and knowledgeable if you have questions about horses and riding. Candice is also great with kids. I defiantly loved riding Forest, all the horses are so sweet and amazing with kids!

I don't think you'll regret coming out and riding with Candice, I certainly haven't! Ever since I have started riding with her (about 3 months ago), I have learned so much! Candice and her horses are so sweet, patient, and accommodating! When I started riding with her, I was very nervous but she paired me with the perfect horse for me and I calmed down and LOVED IT! I have since rode several other times on different horses and love them all! I have also taken lessons with Candice and found that experience valuable in a whole different way as doing ground work with a horse is so special! Highly recommend!!!
