Two fantastic days of riding with Clara and Josh during our 4nt stay at Beaver Meadows Resort. Couldn't have asked for better "first ride" experience for my 14yo son: Day 1 with Clara and 2 other riders. Son saddled up Sally for his first ride in the CO back country, and I lucked out with Chief. Second day was guide Josh with just me & my boy. My son rode Josie--a beautifully powerful yet chill Clydesdale--while I got paired with Iz who is THE easiest, most pleasant horse I've ever ridden! We look forward to future rides with the stable, and thank Clara & Josh for such amazing excursions.

What an amazing adventure we got to go on with our trail ride guide! We chose the 1.5 hour ride and got to go through the stream, which was a huge highlight!

The one downside was the cost. Not including the tip, it was $356. It was worth it as a birthday present for my daughter, but it’s not something we could do often.

The campsite is GORGEOUS, and it made us interested in coming back to stay for a few nights. They definitely have a good thing going there!

Great experience. Our guide Taylor was very accommodating with my daughters, 10 & 6 years old, neither had riding experience and she was able to use a rope to guide my 6 year old's horse. She had them ride at the front, just behind her, with 4 adults behind them, and kept them entertained and safe for 90 minutes! Stopped for a nice photo of the group. The kids loved trotting, and Taylor honored their multiple requests to do so. We were 10 minutes late, but still received the full 90 minute ride we reserved. Would visit again for sure.

Absolutely loved this ride. Helpful and courteous staff and lovely horses. Wasn't certain what to expect, but when we finally arrived we were pleasently surprised. Beautiful grounds and trails! I'd recommend the 1.5 - 2 hour ride, because one hour alone wouldn't be enough 😉

My daughter and I have been riding a lot of different places in Colorado. Beaver Meadows Stables offer a truly unique experience the horses and staff are awesome! Clara and Millie are fabulous and experienced. They treat the horses well and are nestled a picturesque setting.

We had a great time riding with Cindy and Clara. My niece and I rode Texas Belle and Danny Boy. It was such a gorgeous day.

We took the 1.5 hour ride which was wonderful. The water was flowing nicely and the trails were well groomed. The horses were also very well trained. That was my first ride ever and Danny Boy responded beautifully to my beginner abilities. He was truly fun to ride. My niece claims she now wants to buy a horse. 😏

Amazing Experience!

Our family of seven had a great time horse back riding. One of our daughters is big into animals and horses. So we made a stop by Beaver Meadows sables on our summer vacation to go for a 3 hour ride. Sara, our guide was great and just a really nice caring person. The horses were great and knew where to go and very tame (no experience necessary). The trails and area were gorgeous! We crossed streams several times, climbed rocky trails that I didn’t know a horse could do so easily. It was a really great time! A little pricy for seven of us, but the memories will last a lifetime.
