Working with Melissa for our wedding at Edgewood was wonderful! I knew from the first call I had with her that she had a great energy, and absolutely knew her stuff.

She provided great recommendations for other vendors in the area, and I loved that almost all of them knew each other from previous weddings--it made everything feel so smooth for us. We had so many questions when it came to logistics and she was incredibly helpful in getting those answered. If she didn't know something of the spot, she'd follow up immediately on it.

Her communication style is excellent, which is so important when looking for a planner. We had some difficulties with our venue, and she was on calls and emails ready to help us deal with them.

She's a reliable, kind, and funny person--all great qualities to have when the planning starts getting stressful. I've been in a number of weddings, but you truly don't know what goes into it until it's you're own, and we're so thankful we had her there to guide us through the process. Our actual wedding day felt so seamless and stress free thanks to the work she puts in behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly.

We couldn’t have asked for a better planning experience, thanks to Melissa. We opted for partial planning, since I already had a lot of ideas to build on. Melissa was a great resource and partner throughout the whole planning process - fielding questions, providing access to planning software, facilitating with vendor selection and communication, regular progress check ins, and more!

But really, it was the day-of coordination that was above and beyond what we could’ve ever expected! Our wedding day was complicated logistically. With two separate venues, and a variety of modes of transportation, Melissa worked through numerous versions of the timeline to make sure that everything was accounted for. She kept her cool as thunderstorms were rolling in, and was literally getting real time weather updates sent to our remote location from her husband who was monitoring the radar back home. As a bride, I was aware of very little of this in the moment, as Melissa just handled it all and kept the day on track. More guests than I can count made comments about how all the logistics of the wedding day were so smooth and well orchestrated! Honestly, it all went better than we could’ve hoped for - with the rain making it all the more memorable.

Melissa turned our dreams into a reality, and more!!! She is incredibly easy-going, along with her side-kick, which was exactly what we were looking for. However, she was also fantastic at paying attention to detail, but with grace and pizzaz. I can confidently say that all of our vendors, family and friends loved working with her. She had patience when people were pushing her buttons, and she pulled through working with all types of personalities to bring the wedding together personally. We had a lot of little, tricky, thoughtful details for her to manage, and she did it well.

We worked with Melissa as our wedding planning over a two year period, including a postponed wedding and lots of complications due to COVID-19. Melissa was a joy to work with from start to finish, bringing an immense amount of knowledge and organization to what feels like a very overwhelming project.

Melissa introduced us to an amazing set of vendors, giving us lots of choice to who to work with. Given she is a Tahoe local, she has an immense amount of experience with many of the vendors throughout the area, which was invaluable to us. She ran an efficient and streamlined process to make sure we were checking all the boxes at the right time, and never falling behind schedule. Throughout the two years, Melissa did a fantastic job running go between with all of our vendors, including a seamless date change when our original October 2020 wedding had to be moved to summer of 2021. Her personal relationships with the vendors significantly contributed to how smoothly everything ran.

In addition to her great logistical prowess, Melissa also had a great eye for design, and was a big contributor to the overall look and feel of the day. She helped me think of every last detail, and kept the focus on how we wanted the day to feel (not just look in photographs).

The day of our wedding, everything could not have run more smoothly. We had the most beautiful and perfect wedding, in large part due to Melissa!

If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and thoughtful wedding planner, with incredible organization, collaboration, and communication skills, then look no further than Melissa from Beau & Arrow Event Co. Melissa was a godsend in helping plan and coordinate both our rehearsal dinner and wedding.

My now husband and I always knew we wanted to have our wedding in Tahoe, but with us living in New York, we were worried that the execution of planning a cross-country wedding would be difficult. After hiring Melissa as our wedding planner, those worries quickly dissipated.
