We had a great time hiking up the trail, and we made it to two bridges. It would be nice if the trail informational signs were redone. Many of them are peeling or ripped up. Beautiful area, great little hike for families. It was fun to see all the wildlife and learn about the Native American Nisenan people along the hike. Very clean path, and it was a great day adventure!

Beware, you need a military ID to get through the gate to the trail. If you’re not in the military or a veteran, you’re not going to be able to hike this trail it’s not for civilians. I wish somebody would’ve posted something like this for me.

Coming from Camp Beale Hwy, it is part Muddy, buggy and part over grown (weeds) otherwise I would give it a 5 ⭐ The sound of the river is beautiful and soothing. It's a mile to the park. If you want a longer hike follow the bridge by the park and takes you all the way to the golf course (3 miles, so 6+ miles back to your car)
