We just returned from Anna Maria Island and had a wonderful trip for our school vacation which was headlined by our second charter with Captain Simon and Bayshore Fishing Charters. Captain Simon met us at the dock, on time and with a big smile as always. My husband and three children, 7, 5 and 2.5 years old spent a beautiful morning along the bay catching a ton of fish. Captain Simon is incredible with the kids and they immediately felt comfortable with him. His boat is stable, safe and clean and he knows all the local knowledge needed to make a trip a memory for a lifetime. My 6 year old daughter, husband and father had previously ventured off shore with him last year and had an incredible experience which made us come back. It was the best part of our trip together and we will making it a tradition now everytime we get back to the island. Thanks Captain Simon!

We had an amazing half-day trip with Simon! He was a fantastic captain who navigated us to waters which provided immediate fish on our first drop! All three of us dropped our lines and within two minutes we had three fish in the boat. Simon gives a quick tutorial, baits the line, takes the fish off , rebaits then line and gets you right back in the water. He filets the fish when you get back to the dock and even recommends a great restaurant to have them cooked to perfection ( The Waterfront Restaurant AMI) We had so much fun! We caught just about every type of fish in the reef, from snapper to blowfish to grouper! I would highly recommend a trip with Captain Simon who isn’t just a spectacular fisherman, but also a super nice dude! Thanks again Simon!

From start to finish, we had a fantastic experience with Simon and his business. We were a little concerned about the weather, and he showed a great amount of flexibility, working with us to provide the most optimal fishing experience. The communication was fantastic from start to finish. We will absolutely use him in the future when we come back down. Also, it’s very important to note that he was extremely patient with all of us, but especially fantastic with the kids. He shared lots of stories and details of fishing experiences. When our fishing trip was done, we asked him if he was willing to show us around if he had time and he was very willing. We saw over 20 dolphins, a ray, a couple sharks in the distance, and we caught a lot of fish. There was never a boring moment. At the end, he was kind enough to fillet all of the fish and point us in the direction of a fantastic restaurant that cooked them all up for us a variety of ways. Our advice, use him you won’t regret it!

This is our second time going out on the water with Capt Simon and somehow it was even better than the first time! He took us out on the gulf and it was a trip my son will never forget. He does everything in his power to get you on the fish! His knowledge of the area, fishing, and respect for the wild life is unmatched. This past spring break, my 6 year old daughter, my father-in-law, and myself booked a fishing trip with Capt. Simon. Everything about our experience was flawless. Capt. Simon was easy to communicate with, provided a safe, clean and well rigged boat, and gave us an experience we will remember forever. My father-in-law is a very experienced fisherman and my daughter was on her first Florida offshore trip. Both of them had the times of their lives. Capt. Simon found us a huge active baitball and we were on fish for nearly the whole trip. Afterwards, he spent extra time and attention with my daughter finding an amazing small inshore spot to be sure she got to reel in her own fish she could fight. Every year my husband and I visit AMI. As soon as we book our flights we text Captain Simon to lock in a date to go fishing. We will not charter with anyone else. Simon is kind, calm, organized, fast paced, easy going, personable, and genuinely excited to fish and to help us fish. We never leave disappointed. This trip, we went Tarpon fishing. My husband hooked around a 150lb tarpon and fought with it for about 30 minutes. It was worth every minute. Simon always makes sure we have fun, and have something to go home with. This was our fifth trip with Simon and we can’t wait to book our next.

One of the best charters I've experienced in the entire state of Florida. My kids (6, 8, and 16) had a fantastic time on our 6-hour fish. I highly recommend calling Captain Simon for your first or next fishing trip.
