Provincetown Fast Ferry offers a comfortable and pleasant way to travel from Boston to Provincetown and avoid the tedious route over land 🙂 I have taken this ferry many times over the years and particularly enjoy the stunning water views of Provincetown you get as you enter the port.

Today, my experience was made even better when I received a stellar customer service response to an issue that I had. In summary, I may have made an error on the website when purchasing my ticket, which was compounded by a potential oversight by the ticket staff when I picked up my ticket, combining to result in my paying twice what I should have for a single round trip adult fare.

When I reported what happened on my return to the Boston ticket office, I was worried that I would not be able to prove what happened. I was pleasantly surprised when the issue was escalated to management, who may have been the owner, and who resolved the issue respectfully and efficiently. I will feel good about continuing to patronize the Bay State Cruise Company and the Provincetown Fast Ferry for years to come.

Fast ferry to Provincetown. Left Boston seaport at 1pm, spent the day in Ptown, then took the ferry back to Boston at 7pm. Great way to travel & explore Ptown for the day. Highly recommend.

Took the ferry from Boston to Provincetown and it was wonderful. The interior is very comfortable with a nice bar that serves food, snacks and drinks. There are 4 different decks outside with seats and tables. It docks right in the heart of P-town. A one block walk and your in the middle of the shops and restaurants on Commercial Street. We loved the ferry and P-town and can’t wait to do it again.

We've taken the fast ferry several times and always had a good experience. This time they were very helpful in getting us on board. My wife has some mobility issues and they loaned us a wheelchair and also helped with our luggage.

The cruise to PTown takes about an hour and a half and is made better by the comfortable seats and the snack bar where hot dogs, beer, soft drinks and other snacks are available.

Many thanks the the staff and crew.

They deliver on their services. Website up to date, prices competitive, departs online, friendly service, boat has toilets and concessions. Would be 5 stars if they just had eTickets (have to show email to desk to print a ticket, which you have to hold for your return - Com’on guys! 2021?!). But overall very good.

The ferry to and from Provincetown was great however I’m giving them only 3 stars because on our way back to Boston they announced that you can purchase a $15 ticket for a water taxi that would take you directly to Boston airport from the port in just 5 minutes. This was a complete lie. Yes there is a quick water taxi, but you then have to lug your luggage onto a shuttle that takes you to the airport. The entire trip took about 15 minutes. An Uber would have been quicker and less money. I didn’t like being deceived!

A bit overpriced in terms of value-price against other companies. The coffee shop service onboard is quite limited and slow, but the ferry is punctual in schedule.

Decent boat trip, but these guys are completely unethical. My fiance and I bought round-trip tickets between Boston (6/30) and Providence (7/3). When we got the tickets at the office in Boston on 6/30, the person who gave them to us didn’t say ANYTHING whatsoever about having to save them. So as soon as we boarded the boat I threw them away, assuming we just get new ones for our return trip. And I’ve never taken the fast ferry before so I had no prior experience with their alleged policies. Now, however, the person at the ticket office in Ptown just charged me $20 to issue new return tickets. This is a pure money grab as I of course, have no leverage whatsoever standing in ptown needing to get the ferry back. it is absolutely ridiculous that I had to pay $20 for what is a few cents worth of paper tickets when I have my receipt and ID. if the policy is to somehow prevent fraud, that doesn’t make any sense either because if i secretly kept my old tickets i could’ve given them to someone else and now I have two new tickets for $20. I’ve been directed to email the manager and will update this if the situation changes. But right now I recommend going with a different company.
