Captain Anthony is friendly and laid back but a competent professional. Knowledgeable of the area and made us feel very comfortable. Saw many beautiful homes on Captiva, Useppa Island and Cabbage Key. Even had extra bonus of seeing a couple dolphins . Spent 2 hours on Cayo Costa (only accessible by water) walking the island looking for seashells. Really enjoyed the experience! Will definitely book again when back in the area. The boat ride and tour of the islands were exactly what our family hoped for. Anthony was laid back and relaxed but professional in every way. He took us to islands that could be reached by boat only and was knowledgeable, sharing interesting information about the area. We also swam, snorkeled (using our own equipment) and saw dolphins. He had a fun playlist and treated us like VIPS for our 4 hours. I especially like how he responded to my texts before our trip. Our time with Anthony was by far the highlight of our trip to Sanibel. Hope to see Anthony again.

Captain Anthony was a great guide and host. Our family of 5 enjoyed our boat tour. Saw a ray and so many dolphins. He got them to jump the wake- priceless experience! Enjoyed the soundtrack too- a perfect day!

Captain Anthony was amazing! His boat was meticulously maintained and he was so knowledgeable about the area. He is an excellent boater as well, I was so impressed with how well he handled the boat. Captain Anthony was a fantastic tour guide! He was very professional and entertaining, prompt, and knowledgable about the area. It was a relaxing way to spend time on the water. Would highly recommend this for couples, groups and families to enjoy a different view of of the islands. The boat dock was very convenient and easy to access. Our day with Anthony was awesome! He is kind, fun, and a solid boater! His boat is perfect for touring the Gulf waters, comfortable, fast, quiet and takes waves well. Anthony knows how to avoid the swells of 6 large yachts when they come speeding by!

Our trip was to Caya Costa for shelling. Anthony took us to the dock instead of anchoring in the water due to winds. The tram wasn't going to run for another hour (seasonal staggered times). Anthony helped us plan a new idea, which we did. While the shelling on Caya Costa was quite poor (lots of seaweed due to recent tropical storm), we spent an hour there and then Anthony changed route and took us to Cabbage Key where we had a delightful lunch overlooking the water.

Anthony is quite knowledgeable of the area, told interesting stories, played great music and all around made for a great relaxing day. We highly recommend spending a day on a private charter with Barrier Island Tours--he is definitely filling in a needed niche in Captiva/Sanibel area. Plus, you might even get a close up encounter with a manatee! That was indeed an added bonus!
