Nice docks/piers to fish on. Wheelchair accessible also which is nice. Walking trail that goes around the park and has Bagdad history and nature information on plaques all along the pathway. Very interesting to read.

Stunning views of Blackwater River. I expected more shade over the walking path but it was very pretty. It was so quiet. No traffic noise at all. There is shade on the side along the river, bringing a comfortable chair and a book to read would be an ideal way to spend time.

This beautiful park has a paved track around it for walking, running and riding bicycles. It also has restrooms, two parking areas, a kayak launch, plenty of benches along the path, picnic tables and grill, a fishing T dock for a great view of the Blackwater River. There are also several historical markers along the way.

Bagdad Mill Site Park is a lovely little walking park. There is an asphalt loop that takes you on a historic walk as you read about the history of the site. It also has a new boat docking area and great fishing spots. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables to sit at and watch the wildlife. We love taking our dogs on walks here.

Stumbled upon this gem of a park quite by accident out driving around. Its beautiful and well kept. Its perfect for an evening autumn stroll. There are lots of signage to read about the park, foliage, and town history as well if you are into history. My only disappointment was that they dont allow dogs. Its a shame as its the perfect place to take a stroll with your canine friends. Wish they had not decided to leave them out.

This park is built upon the site of an old lumber mill and shipyard. It is very spacious with plenty of park benches picnic tables and grills. There are numerous informational pedestals that tell the history of the area. This park also features a fishing pier on the Blackwater River and a canoe/kyak launch site. The paved trail that spans the circumference of the park is perfect for walking and jogging. The paved path is also very handicap friendly. Facilities are available on site. Running water is also available at most picnic sites.

So happy we came across this little park! It is a cute park that is perfect for a picnic, stroll, exercise, bike ride, festival, celebration or just a quiet place to think. There are quality bathroom facilities on site and historical signs along the paths that provide interesting stories about Bagdad. Loved the detail in the sign at the entrance! All that is missing is a playground or little activity area for kids. I will definitely share this park with my friends, as I’m sure they have no clue this is here either!
