I came in at mid day and the docents were extremely kind and even showed me around and gave extra info on the history as well as the future of Avon Park. The train car was not accessible but the main museum made up for it!

I had a wonderful tour! Our guide was knowledge and entertaining. Many historic pieces to look at and many have very interesting stories behind them. My favorite was the town's phone switchboard...it was amazingly well preserved. I highly recommend you stop in when you are in the area.

Our women's group reserved the Depot for our February monthly launch. The lunch was very good and the service was excellent. Before lunch, a volunteer told us the history of the Depot and the town of Avon Park, Florida.

Great resource for history of Avon Park and people of AP. The train is great as well. The depot used to be a stop on the train. Both passenger and frieght trains go by every 30-45 minutes. There are usually painted rocks and geocaches at the train as well.
