I have not been a fan of Avis. However, TXK Avis must be the best location I have had experience with. People is great at this location, no exception, all of them.

On March 25, I reserved a HERTZ vehicle and paid everything in advance. My appointment to pick up the vehicle was for 5:30 pm. I arrived at the appointment at 5:03 pm. When I arrived, the counter was empty, but I was listening in the office inside. A lady in a personal conversation on the phone, after 10 minutes waiting without anyone coming out to assist me, I decided to call on the phone and that's when the lady came out to answer the line and I informed her, don't bother, it's me who called and I informed her that I have a reservation, I come to pick up the vehicle and I show her my reservation on my cell phone to which she responds that she is sorry but that she has no vehicles available I tell her it is impossible, look, I already paid everything in advance and she tells me that she is sorry to cancel, she I inform her but what am I going to do? I'm barred here and she tells me to go to the AVIS counter. At AVIS, the girl who helped me solved my problem quickly, got me a better car that was much more comfortable and most importantly at a better price. She completed the entire process in less than 15 minutes and I am very grateful. I would recommend AVIS 100%. % Thanks you saved my day

Most car rental places are notoriously bad at making sure that the vehicle you reserved is actually there when you need it - not this location! I have been renting from the Texarkana Airport location for years and have never been disappointed. Their staff is helpful and prompt, and they work hard to make sure everything is how it should be!

The online pre-check in feature took only a couple of minutes. When I arrived at the counter, it was like hanging out with family! The counter woman and her colleague were extremely friendly. I think it took all of three minutes before my keys were in my hands. The vehicle was very nice and comfortable. The Bluetooth worked great so I could listen to my podcasts on my phone. I had to do a one way trip, and the price was lower than the bigger competitors. I highly recommend Avis.

We rented a beautiful car. It was unexpected. We only needed it for one day. The location was great and the staff was friendly... And that's my jam...5 stars every time with good customer service.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Rented a Toyota Tacoma for 6 days for my first time ever renting a vehicle. I chose Avis because no where else had vehicles available. Quick and easy initial transaction. The truck smelled of smoke and old socks and the detail job was extremely poor. Didn’t bother me, I needed the vehicle, so I took it and noted the odors. When I turned it back in, a young gentleman was driving it around the parking lot to check and clean it. I left after he had been in the truck for 10 minutes. I then received a call 24 hours later claiming I “cracked” the windshield and they needed me to come up there and file it on my insurance immediately! I checked the the truck from front to back before I turned it in. I actually turned it in in better condition than it was given to me. When I asked him why nothing was said to me till now he said they didn’t notice it till now. I asked him why the gentleman driving it around the parking lot didn’t say anything when I turned it in. He tried to tell me no one had been in it until the next day! Lies! Trying to charge people for their mistakes! Don’t go Avis, people!

Good customer service. There is a shortage of rental cars at this location. It would be a mistake to want a particular type of car and not have made a reservation well in advance.

It is easy to access the counter, and the staff is courteous. The reduction of one star is due to the small window of hours of operations. This is not the fault of staff, but it is a sizeable inconvenience. They open about 10 am and close before 6 pm. If you want to get a morning car, spur of the moment, you are out of luck at this location. If you need to return the car in the morning, and need to discuss matters with an on site agent, you are again out of luck at this location.

The word is make sure to make an reservation several days before pickup, and hope you don't need on-site assistance before 10 am.

Terrible.. Done tried to use them 3 times in a row. 1st time the car I reserved was unavailable when I showed up to pick it up. 2nd Time… guess … same thing. 3rd time ..: they’ve asked me to pay an additional 100$ for a different car after allowing me reserve a different vehicle … you guessed it… not available.
