Dave's expertise and passion for freediving were evident from the start, and we're already planning our return.

Dave's patient and personalized instruction made us feel really comfortable -- and his infectious enthusiasm for the sport and the underwater world, combined with his knowledge of wildlife, made our days of diving and paddleboarding even more fun.

I went into the Level 1 Freediving course with plenty of swimming experience, but very little knowledge around free diving and effective breath holding.

I just finished my Level One Freediver Course with Dave of Aquatrek Expeditions. Wow, what an incredible experience. I was a little hesitant about going through a PADI Freediving course and thought I might want to find training through an agency strictly dedicated to freediving but I had heard great things about Dave. From the moment I talked to Dave on a discovery call he put my mind at ease. He himself thought PADI didn't provide enough information for a level one freediving course and so he setup his own lecture and presentation to expand on the information provided. This is the first thing you do on day one of the course and you really get an incredible amount of knowledge from him. Once in the water, Dave is patient and explains and demonstrates everything in a manner that is easy to understand and put into practice. He makes you feel incredibly at ease the entire time and his dedication and professionalism is always on display. He knows when to push you to further your own understanding of your body and what it can overcome and he also listens to how you are feeling and knows when to scale back and reevaluate the situation. I learned an incredible amount in only two days being with and learning from Dave and I had an incredible time while doing it. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to get into freediving or anyone who is simply looking for adventure out on the springs in Florida.

We took a private springs tour with Dave for our five year anniversary. We didn’t plan much out, but Dave came with a few surprises which made our day more special. He brought us snacks, music, and a few other small details that made our day. He was very ready to follow our lead, and meet us where we were with our energy levels and conversation. We got to stop and snorkel for a little bit as a break, and it was very fun way to see Florida’s natural with someone who knows there way around.
