Absolutely breathtaking! Literally. It was windy AF. We had a picnic along the wall, enjoying the astounding view and beating, desert sun. Various walking paths lead you to alternating views of the canyon. It’s eerie how silent it is at the top of the canyon. The drive in is just as mesmerizing as the view.

Very peaceful and quiet. About a 1/2 mile hike do get to the lookout points but well worth it. Absolutely beautiful

One of the pretty spots on the north rim of Canyon de Chelly, or Del Muerto Canyon. Easy walk over sandstone to expansive views.

Least safe place to go alone in Canyon de Chelly. The parking lot was empty and I had 3 men approach me while I was hiking to the overlook. Do not go alone! Be aware of your surroundings. Maybe stick to the main drive and overlooks at the South Rim.
