When you’re looking for a break from the beach and want to check out some of Florida’s natural beauty, this is a great place to go. There is a beautiful visitor center with lots of exhibits on local wildlife and a bit of history on the area. There is also an observation tower where you can look out across the area and see the skyline of Fort Lauderdale and Miami, as well as well some nice boardwalks that take you through the mangroves out to shaded pavilions on the water. We did not see any manatees when we were here, but we enjoyed hiking and the peacefulness of the surroundings. It’s amazing that such a large, wild and natural area remains in this thoroughly developed part of the state. The fact that it was totally free to visit made it even better!

We went to the Ann Kolb Nature Center today for a Native Plant Sale. We enjoyed the sale and then explored a bit. Beautiful place in the midst of the city and millions of people! We will be coming back with our kayaks and explore more of this wonderful place!!

Really amazing park with a super informative nature center. Great place to take the kids and don't forget to go up the tower and walk to the pier. One piece of advice tho, this place is SWARMING with no-see-ums, make sure you get repellant or they'll annihilate you.

Great find on our way into the beach. Free parking and entry to this fabulous educational center offering boardwalks and a tower with views of the bay. Facilities, picnic area.

This morning on 11/14/2024, I went to the park to walk with my 8-months-old son. As I parked, I saw two white cars parked with some distance from each other,but both with one door open. In the right one, I saw a man wearing a hat and sunglasses. He seemed like he was looking at us,but I didn't pay too much attention as I thought that maybe he was resting after his walk or whatever. It was around 8 am and a nice,cool weather. The park was almost empty and there was NO SECURITY at all! As I was returning to my car, I saw a man from another car taking a piss right next to the other white car. I was shocked and started to really rush to my car. Both guys definitely knew each other and were definitely looking for "someone"..I was very glad that I parked pretty far from them so I had enough of time to buckle up my son and get out of there. As I was leaving, I took a picture of their cars attached,and of course they saw it and started to take a picture of us as well. Very creepy and scary!!!

Beautiful free park to walk around and take pictures. Plenty of walking trails and small docks to wander to observe plants and wildlife. Also has an observation deck to get 360 views of the park and surrounding area. Remember to bring bug spray because of the small mosquitos that will eat you alive. Only downside of this great park.

I visited Anne Kolb Nature Center as part of a tour with my Leadership Hollywood program, and it was a great experience! I didn’t even know this place existed, but I’m so glad I got to explore it. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the area’s ecosystem and wildlife. The surroundings are beautiful, and I’d definitely love to come back to explore more. Highly recommend checking it out!

Great little walking park, well maintained pathways, fascinating mangrove forests come occasional birds to look at and apparently manatees occasionally be seen, seen but not during my visit. Visitor center with lovely paintings and some history and a pretty cool lookout Towers so you can see for miles. Great little detour, wouldn't make it a destination unless mangroves are your thing, not too much to see here but a great walk.
